Looks like Mac could be back at the Score by early May. Would be very suprised otherwise. Can't wait to see how the line-up would shake out.

I know that site is always accurate, as I continue to enjoy reading Mariotti in the Trib as he predicted. :)

Show me where we predicted Mariotti would be at the Trib. We reported they were in heavy talks and they were. The only thing that stopped it was leagalities, and I still say Jay ends up doing something with them. I see how everyone points to the Jay thing, not the Cuban article huh? Besides, its a rumors site, but I guess ALL the rumors come true at the other sources you go to.

From Jay:

Quote:
“The Tribune contacted me the night I resigned. We had several productive discussions, in person and on the phone, over 2 1/2 weeks. I was very impressed with their editorial direction — this isn’t Col. McCormick’s Trib — and we chatted about an Internet page, a television show and, eventually, a column. In the middle of it all, I received a threatening e-mail in what looked like 64-point type from the Sun-Times lawyer, Jim McDonough, who warned of legal action against me if I signed with the Tribune. The Tribune also received a threatening letter from the Sun-Times. Yes, I had a non-compete clause in the Sun-Times deal that prohibits me from writing for the Tribune for a year. Thus, we had to twist and turn to figure out a way to do things, and for now, I’m just thrilled to continue our daily, stress-free, highly successful ESPN show — six years, almost 1,300 airings — and consider several options in radio and TV and on the Internet. Maybe someday, the Tribune thing will happen, but if it causes mass resignations on the staff, gee, I don’t want to disrupt home lives or anything. All I know is, these aren’t the Tribsters I lampooned for years. This is the multimedia group that will survive in Chicago and thrive in the future. They have a plan.

Over/under on first Mac suspension for that show would be three minutes after their first intro.

The Mac/Harry scrap up of a few years back would look tame compared to this brawl.

Mariotti - yeesh. "People who speak in metaphors can line up to shampoo my crotch" - Norman Udall. I think that's how the quote goes...

"Mac and Mully In the Morning" makes so much sense that it'll probably never happen.

So you write an article on your own website, that is pure speculation of obvious events and then you reference it your own posts as if you found some breaking news on someone elses website? What a fucking dipshit. Better get ready for scholl tomorrow junior.

I was defending you, FOX 32 News. I believe in you...

I heard a rumor that Amare Soudemire may or may not be traded. Any thoughts?

Ha, ha, ha. Alot of people laughed back in Sept that Cuban was out of the bidding for the Cubs and the details of his bid, and I do not remember anyone here saying Mac was available May 4th? I could list a bunch of details, but I will leave that to the credit I've gotten on WGN and WSCR, Deadspin, Chicago's Best blogs (via Tribune.com) :D

Well I did say Cuban was out of the bidding from Day 1.

This thing was Cannings to lose and he lost it.
