As I mentioned early on, this was setup for next season. You are getting little bits of information to build up a plot where it's the Hippies vs. the US Government. People will take sides. Lives will be lost. The show ending will suck. But I have to watch my horse come in to the finish, regardless if it just lost a leg.

Did they ever 'finish' the storyline where Locke was with the hippies loading fertilizer off of a truck? I don't recall any resolution to that whatsoever.

That seems to be the theme of the show in general.

Maybe I have the attention span of a squirrel, but every episode "reveals" a handful of suprises, but none of them really go anywhere???I keep watching, and at the end of each episode I keep thinking the same.

Yeah, that is part of W_Z's issue and mine too. He gave up on his horse, im watching my limp to the finish line.

Some other questions never answered:

Just watched this week's episode.

Continue to call me unimpressed.

The "shocks" aren't even shocking anymore.

I need more skin from Evangeline Lilly if the writers expect me to stay interested.

Did you guys see the last episode "Untangled"? It's pretty good -- the voice they use for Sawyer is funny.

I gotta help TM here

Hey, with all the time-travel on this show, there is a concept they have yet to explore, but they should:

Future mail.

You're a good man, 24_Guy. Who is that in your avatar, by the way?

It's Sarah Michelle Gellar. It's been a few years since I've seen a good picture of her, but I felt this one qualified.

By request... that was Olivia Munn. You'll find her some nights on a channel called G4, which you have to scroll through every channel you have until you find it.

Why doesn't anyone on this show ever ask why? They're all being told/convinced that they need to return to the island to save their friends. I don't know, if it were me, I'd wanna know how my returning to the island would save them.

As for Desmond, he's told that the island isn't done with him yet. Does he ask what she means by that? No. He doesn't seem to care. I guess I shouldn't either.

yeah killer welcome to the world of TV dramas...

TV writing 101: answer a question with really cool one-liner that has nothing to do with the answer; or say something puzzling that everybody in the room except the person inquiring knows what he/she means.

Ben did answer this to Jack last night. He said "You just have to simply believe".

It continues to be a train wreck coming into the station. More open questions which will never be answered. We will just have to see where they go.

I did find a line by Eloise to be particularly funny:

"Oh, stop thinking how ridiculous it is and start asking yourself whether or not you believe it's going to work. "

That sure seems like a message to the viewers from the writers!

(and I don't think it's going to work)

Haters. Tell me you didn't wonder at the brilliance of Kate telling Jack to "Never ask me again what happened to Aaron!" Sure, they could have come up with some reason to not take him back to the island but it's so much more gripping and mysterious to just say to "never ask again".

You guys don't appreciate anything. Quit looking at the trees and appreciate the forest. It's beautiful. Look! A bird!

Oh my, that is.... fitting.

Dr. Ken, I assume the inference there is that she handed the kid over to the grandmother (she saw her in that hotel room a few episodes ago), and is understandably upset that she raised the kid for 3 years and gave him up. I'm sure the kid is not so happy about it either.

But regardless, the overall point remains: this thing continues to unravel... or perhaps devolve is a better word. I don't know.. I still hold out hope, but, it's looking like this is nothing more than another cliched hackneyed infinite time-loop thing. The chicken-or-the-egg scenario; they had to go to the island to fulfill whatever it is they do there in the "past", but they had no past there until their plane crashed there, blah blah blah. (Just like that damn watch in Somewhere in Time! Curses! How did the old lady give Christopher Reeve that watch, when he only gave it to her after he time-traveled to her in the past?! :P ) This show seemed to be so much better than that, way back when.

Oh, and I assume Kate is pregnant now, right? *sigh*

Though I admit it might be cool to see them return to the original hatch with the button and the timer. I assume they will since they're back in that timeframe.

For true Lost geeks who really want to explore the theories, try this site... http://www.thelostdiary.com/
It helps to explain things, but also makes me feel stupid since I seem to miss many of the "obvious" plot points.

So I'd assume that since Locke died and is alive again on the island, somehow Desmond was on that plane (probably either dead or against his will) too.

I've just about given up.

I think my DVR is the biggest reason I'm still watching. Much easier to sit through 40 minutes of this nonsense than a full hour.

So I just watched this week's Lost. All I can say is "What the F?"

The "big twists" are no longer shocking so much as they are annoying.
