Fans, it seems absurd for me to even mention the following topic on a 60 degree day in early March, but there is actually Olympic broadcast news to report. We are less than a year away now from the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, and today, NBC Sports has announced that Al Michaels has been hired as one of the feature hosts of the "Peacock's" U.S. coverage of these games. The signature voice of "Sunday Night Football" will be hosting some 50 hours of coverage from the Olympic Village. It'll also mark an anniversary for Al, who was behind the mike for ABC Sports in 1980 at Lake Placid, NY. It'll be 30 years ago that Al called the famous "Miracle on Ice" hockey upset for Team USA over Russia on ABC back then, in one of the greatest calls of his career. "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!"
