Will upsets be based on seed or point spread? Because I have seen lower seeded teams lined as favorites.

Lower seed beating higher seed in the first round gets 1 bonus point for that

I originally had it set that if a 12 beats a 5, they would get 7 points, but felt that was too much.

The lower seed thing probably wont win it for you, but could if you are in a tiebreaker. Plus picking all the 12's to beat 5's would have been a risk most would take.
