This Erik Kramer interview is uncomfortable. Note to Doyle, it's probably not a good idea to ridicule the guest right off the bat.

Of course, Kramer is a bit of a red ass.

Erik Kramer on with Hoody and Doyle. Started off with:

Hood: Hello
Kramer:(silence)
Hood: Hello, Erik?

I was wishing Hoody would've said "Who's this?"

Kramer is a little edgy and somewhat blasting Cutler on his attitude....and I think he's right.

You're just mad because he dated Miss Iowa and then saw her later and said she was so fat she looked like she ate the new Miss Iowa whole. I appreciate the candor but that was pretty low.

Are there any FCC restrictions on the broadcasts? In other words, can they swear? I would think they could but I imagine advertisers probably wouldn't be in favor.

No FCC restrictions. If something slips, so be it, but we're not going to throw f-bombs out on purpose.

Tim-
If and when cswebio expands it's hours, do you think you guys will get Grobber in a slot?

We will expand, but there's no timetable. I really have no say on personnel, but I'm sure they have people in mind.

She wasn't my relative so I could care less - I did hear the comment and was trying to figure out the point of it.

I think it's funny, though not surprising, that people want this to fail just because Pappy is involved. I don't care who is involved. I think it's great. I now have another option for live Chicago sports talk when I'm at my desk.

Immediately, they have me from 1-2pm everyday that I'm at my desk at that time. It's Hood vs. National vs. Murph and Hood wins. They probably won't have me at any other time of the day but I liked Webby and Fred's show this morning and might sample it at other times.

I doubt I'll even try Chet and the Champ and I used to love Chet but that was 25 years ago. That show seems so dated that I might have to put on parachute pants and listen to it on a Commodore 64.

What do I care who runs it? I've got nothing against Pappy and I hate ESPN National. So, as a consumer, this is good for me for as long as it lasts. Good luck, Webio people.

unfortunatly pappy and his ego and everyone that strokes it are the problem. north is not likeable anymore and is a thievin liar to boot. him and blago are both stone-cold liars and bullshitters. if north could come down to earth and admit that he is human and makes mistakes, most people that dislike him might give him a listen. but that would take an effort on his part, so don't hold yer breath. pappy just wants to be mr bigshot in this town and is grasping at every straw left.

Doc is right. I shouldn't want this to fail just cuz of Pappy. I just don't think they have any talent. That's the main problem. There is a reason these guys signed on for this thing. Nobody wanted them for real radio. Hell, nobody knows half of them.

Look at Hood, he's forced to kiss Pappy's ass even though he knows what Pappy is. I don't blame him. You gotta do certain things when you're desperate.

I'm not gonna listen but I reserve the right to make fun of it. It's what I do. It's nice that Tim is talking to us. Looks like others from webio will talk to us as well. I apprecitate that. I look forward to a hate-hate relationship between me and webio until this goes out of business. It will be fun.

Who are all of the producers, Tim?

Just Steve Goffman and myself. He's mainly in charge of Webby/Freddy and I have Chet and Ray. We both work on J-hood/Doyle.

I got an update that Jen Jen will be a GUEST on Chet's show around 5:30. That's some job Jesse's doing booking guests.

What's the deal with this Boom Boom guy?

He's rich and from LA. Why did he come to Chicago to do this shit, Tim? I just don't get why he would want to do it. I also don't understand why they hired him. Why would a Chicago audience want to hear from him? What does he know about Chicago sports teams? What does he know about anything other than boxing?

I'm booking, and I think we've had a pretty good day guest-wise. Compare our list to the competition and I think we've fared pretty well today...Hollandsworth, Weber, Danks, Kramer and Raferty so far, and we'll have Greg Walker, Lee Corso and Bert Sugar throughout the rest of the show.

How miserable has Jen been, Tim? What say does she have in this thing. Did Pappy make her the boss lady? Are you sick of her already? Did she make you put her on as a guest?

I know it's not fair to judge a show on its first 15 minutes, but let's face it, it's more fun.

Against my better judgement, I left the show on for Chester and was treated to a Dire Straits theme song, discussion of '80s boxing, Mickey Rourke and Deniro films. It's exactly what I thought it would be. Not a good way to come out of the gates on Chicago sports. That's filler discussion for mid-February shows.

She will probably be dating "Bam-Bam" Mancini in another week.
She will be making BOOM-BOOM with BAM-BAM or is that the other
way around?

You know, I'm gonna listen to that. There is something very wrong and strange about "Boom Boom" & Chet talking to a Jen Jen. What the hell is there to ask her? It could be fun-bad.

Jen has been great, no problems. I've known her since we were at WSCR, and she's a friend of mine. She's involved with Mike's show, has nothing to do with us really. No she didn't make us put her on, Chet wanted her on.

You asked, I answered. No, I don't anticipate any problems with Jen. Why would there be any? Like I said, she's not involved with anything besides the morning show.
