I think you guys are optimistic. It sounds like he is still in discussions with several venues. After that he will have to decide on the best fit then negotiate a contract. The station will then need to move its talent and have a rolling out period.

It's not optimism, as much as desperation. I can't wait for dangerous to get back and give us some quality sports radio to listen to. He's had a couple months to line up a gig and a crew. I think a mid May date is very possible. With the NFL draft coming up and Baseball in full swing, he's going to have plenty to chat about, when he does get back on air. Can't wait.

I'm not so sure Mac's going to be back on the air as soon as people think...I have very little confidence in current SCORE management that they'll get Mac in the fold at all. Remember, folks...These are the same powers that be that handed Laurence Holmes the midday slot last summer without giving the likes of Matt Abbatacola, Jason Goff, Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch, Zach Zaidman & Chris Rongey a chance to win the job fair & square. They also passed over Comcast SportsNet's Pat Boyle in favor of a bumbling, stumbling, "Stuttering" John Melendez-sounding Dan Hampton to work with LoHo. That being said, I say September 14th when Mac returns to the Chicago airwaves.

I didn't think the Bears had ANY shot in getting Jay Cutler from Denver...All bets are off concerning when or if Mac returns to the air especially with the economy still in bad shape and radio stations not in any hurry to hire Mac or anybody else for that matter.

If Mac wants a job, he'll get one easily. If he wants big money for that job, he may have to wait a while.

Still sticking to my June 18th show at Sluggers! Cub v Sox, Thursday afternoon. (Shitty schedule this year by MLB)

Best thing is I feel very confident Mac comes back REAL strong! and READY to FIRE!

Unless Mac wants to accept less money, he's not coming back to Chicago radio until at least September. Besides, I have little confidence in SCORE Management they're willing to spend the $$$$ to get Mac back on its air...
