Anyone heading to Hawthorne on Friday? A buddy and I are planning on it. $1 beers and $1 hot dogs are right up my alley.

I really want to go, but I got a dentist appointment Thursday and I don't want to miss two days from work, otherwise I'm in. If I could get more of your regulars out to the Waddle and Silvy remotes I would go too.

I went to the remote at the Foundry a couple weeks ago - where were you then?

Hey I didn't know - next time you go, post in this section or send me a PM - but if the remote is not in the city or in a nearby suburb, I probably won't go.

Yeah - the Foundry doesn't quite fit those criteria. It was a last-minute thing anyway. I was in the area...

Silvy stopped by our Bowling Event last month at Irving Park Lanes...He & Fred Huebner couldn't have been nicer that Saturday afternoon. He & Tom Waddle have created quite a bit of chemistry in the 2 years they've followed "Mike & Mike in the Morning" on ESPN Radio 1000, and Sunday nights around 10:15p or so during FOX 32's "Final Word" with "Rant & Rave". I wish I could be at Hawthorne myself come Friday morning, but I'll be listening for sure...Congratulations, guys! I predict those two will soon move to afternoon drive...

i've told silvy this already that this show has come a long way.

i really didn't like it when it started; waddle seemed to just big time him and it was like pushing teeth to get him to even watch a damn sports game (which was ah...part of his job, i would think).

but waddle's come down to earth and silvy's ha'adened the fuck up, and the two sound brilliant now. i think even people who don't know chicago sports radio at all would tune in and enjoy the banter, and their take. while waddle isn't inherently a "chicago guy" he has learned to embrace his position here and it shows. he seems a lot more genuine.

here's to keeping the two together (since *sources* tell me silvy & carmen won't happen again).

i still say bring back "did it really happen?" :eye:

I'll be there Friday. I can be found at one of the bars yelling come on motherf***er. I have jumped on the Silvy/Waddle bandwagon quite refreshing :D

I'm 50-50 on this. I'm off Friday for a wedding (which is on Saturday), the girlfriend was talking about maybe going to the Zoo, but she hasn't said for sure yet. If those plans don't work out, I may head out for a bit.

Come on Frank...
While not the zoo...Waddle's garlic breath has smelled a lot like zoo animals.

And Harry knows a guy who might let you ride a horse ;)

introduce her to the zoo that is the CSFMB...

I'm thinking about it, but it's a freaking hike for me. Milwaukee is almost closer...

Possible dumb question, but is it during your show slot Silvy? I'm assuming that it starts at 9am, right? If so, I'll probably be there. I'd have to leave by noon.

Thats why we were going there, she has to babysit her 3 cousins.

I would not object to little Spauldings in the group, but I can't vouch for her on that one.

I'll be there around 10:30 or so. Are you wearing the Robinson jersey or the big blue sweater?
