Hawks in 6

I know the Flames will try to beat them up, but the Hawks have too much speed.

all the games go to OT with 2 at least in shootouts.

I got fingers crossed they can make it to the second round. I see them doing it but not comfortable saying it.

I'll bet you $100 that no game goes to a shootout.

Deal?

If I had it I would bet it.

Fine. $5.

Deal?

Ok. I guess we'll just wait and see what happens.

I'm pretty confident though.

I want some of this action, chashockeyfan. You name the price - I'm in. I don't care if it's a dollar or $1,000. I'm saying the Hawks have enough of an advantage that no games will go to a shootout.

I'll go Hawks in 5 games. Possibly some OT's, but probably no SO's.

You don't want in on the chaspoopy shoot-out action? If there is just one shoot-out in the whole series - THE WHOLE ENTIRE SERIES!!! - chas will be one rich MF'er.

I PREDICT!

Hawks get swept. Major injury occurs tonight to either Kane or Toews, and the other falls off completely. Khabi falls off the train. Huet comes back in game 2 and does a worse job than Khabi. Campbell is in the penalty box for the game winning goal for game four.

If Campbell isn't on the ice at the end of the game then I like the hawks chances even more...

Let me try to talk a little sense into Hoffney:

1. The Flamers best defensive defenseman is out.
2. Phanuef has been hurt for a while, and hasn't played. He will be at 50%.
3. Rene Bourque was hurt for even longer than that - he will be at 50%. Which is like 30% of most players.
4. The Flamers were a suspect in the defensive zone to begin with - adding Leopold and losing Riguere hasn't helped that.
5. Olli Jokinen blew his wad (heh, heh, heh) in the first two weeks after the trade - he has done diddly-poo since then.
6. Jokinen has zero playoff experience.
7. The Hawks were 4-0 vs. the flamers in the reg. season

More?

I saw the other day that Barry Melrose picked the
Blackhawks as the team in the playoffs that could
surprise everyone and make it to the Finals. That
alone could be the kiss of death. I hope the Hawks
can get ouf of the 1st round but they may need a
bit more seasoning to make a legit run. I don't know
much about hockey though, so I hope I am wrong.

The "Bulin Wall", as in Nikolai Khabibulin has been red hot lately for the Blackhawks. I know Cristobal Huet got paid a lot of $$$$ by the Hawks last summer, but Coach Quenneville needs to stick with the hot hand until further notice. I think the Hawks extinguish the Flames in 6...

I'm going Hawks in 5. The Flames were going down in flames towards the end of the year.

Ok I guess I should pay attention more, but my tv guide shows the Hawks game starting at 8:30pm, but the Chicago Trib sports site shows it at 7:30pm. Which is it?
