Maybe you and I can go watch a game over at SSE's and he can explain it to us. I'm having a hard time picking it up but I'm really enjoying it.

Pat Foley does a good job of helping with the rules and so on. There was a gloved pass in the defensive zone earlier and he had explained that such a play is legal in the d-zone.

He's gotta commit to the Indian. He's gotta commit to the jersey. Otherwise you gotta get him upstairs and get him outa here!

Yeah Foley does a good job and he doesn't seem like a dick nor is he pandering to simpletons.

My other thought for the night...this Walker guy doesn't look very good.

Havlat came up big but Khabibulin kept the Hawks in the game or it would have been over early.

Hopefully the Hawks have gotten over the playoff jitters and get back to playing the way they did most of the season and take control of the series.

Always a place for the both of you at Slappyland.Game 3 will be on here so stop by and have a beverage.I'd ask Mac to come by but he charges an appearence fee to come over here. :P

Funny moment from last nights game as my buddy was stuck in a long line in the shitter last night as Havlet puts home the game winner. He said the whole bathroom had a look of shock and glee as guys with their dicks in their hands just yelled and threw up their hands.

While I was watching the game last night, my friend, with whom I'm going to Saturday's Cubs game, calls me and asks me if I have any interest in making it a Cubs/Hawks two-fer. Does a bear shit in the woods?

So anyone else going? I'll be in section 102.

The crowd was awesome last night - after the first period. Never heard the UC louder in my life. During a commercial break in the 3rd (tied 2-2) the whole crowd stood and screamed for no apparent reason the entire break. Rowdy, but good natured.

Observations:
-Hawks were scared to death in the 1st. Lots of falling down (ahem, Campbell), losing sight of the puck, etc. Jokinen was flying everywhere in the 1st period, but then.....
-Did Jokinen play the rest of the game? Other than the set-up on the shot by Iginla that Khabby made the save of the season on, where was he?
-D. Keith was a MAN last night. Under the radar alot of times, but the 2nd star of the game IMO.
-Jen-Jen stripped at intermission at center ice. God she's a loser.
-Anders Ericsson looked like a guy that should have been playing in the AHL all year only to be called up for his first NHL game in game 1. Which he was. The Flamers are absolutely desperate on the blue-line.
-It would be generous to say that Phanuef is playing at 50% - he can barely move out there.
-Please, please please, Mike Keenan, in your infinite hockey wisdom - keep putting Jordan Leopold out ther in key, late game pressure situations. He single handedly lost that game twice in 12 seconds last night. What a little F'n girl......
-I'll stick w/ my original prediction: Hawks in 5.

Big thanks to the 'first couple' of the CSFMB for the pre-game at the Spoke!

It was his first playoff game. Maybe some jitters of his own.

Watched my first hockey game in a couple of years last night and
really enjoyed it. Was a lot of fun to watch and some good hitting
and excellent skating out there. I look forward to tuning in Sat.

This is your final chance to hop back on! Don't come crawling back in the Conference finals - don't even think about trying it Sunday a.m. when the Hawks are headed to Alberta up 2-0. It will be too late by then.

It's now, or it's never.

What do you choose, Mrs. Modano?

I'm just glad the game ended before they went to a shootout.

On of the best games I've been to and I didn't expect the Hawks to do much in the playoff's but last night showed me this team has the talent to get to the conference finals. I don't see a Cup this year or maybe next but it's coming.

I thought the defense ran around a lot last night and their changes were sloppy and when you have a 2 on 3 with open ice they dumped the puck a lot where I thought they should of kept coming but they won and who am I to bitch .

Did you really need a hockey game to do that?

I just wish they had more cap room so that re-signing Havlat didn't put the Hawks in a bigger salary cap crunch. But that was one of the best games I've been to as well.

They'll be able to re-sign Havlat because Khabby will be hasta-la-bye bye at the end of the season. He has a big cap # right now.

I figured Khabby would be gone. I'm just worried that they won't have enough room for Keith, Toews, and Kane if they sign Havlat. But if Tallon can find a way to sign all four, I'll be thrilled.
