Up until now I only caught maybe five minutes of North and Jiggs. All in the first week of the show. It was clumsy, uncomfortable, unlistenable, unwatchable.

I had to be at home this morning (on HOOOOLD with AT&T) and tuned in. I think the show has grown, there's a flow between Jiggs and North. It appears that Jiggs drives quite a bit, Mike lets him talk. Even Jen's work has improved a lot. The content of the show is still relatively weak. They should take calls. Mike is still loud, but a lot less edgy.

The bottomline: I wouldn't mind tuning in on an occasion, but certainly won't make it a must see TV.

That's a fair review. I just don't think Jen should EVER be talking sports.
She could read the news, traffic & weather. It then should be turned over to
a seasoned pro, like a Fred Huebner or George Offman.

I have it on in the background when I get ready for work. Some of the interviews go too long and The Next Step and Notre Dame live reads get a bit annoying, but overall it's not too bad. I wish they could have more callers. The whistle to go to break has gotta go IMO.

I don't think "Jiggs" & North have taken ONE listener call since "Monsters of the Morning" started...I'll go one step further. ESPN2's simulcast of ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike in the Morning" also hasn't taken listener calls...

SHARK, I must have missed the memo that requires sports talk shows to take callers. Sports talk to me implies people talking about sports -- not necessarily listening to the "Average Joe" and "Jane." That being said, the "Mike & Mike" show generally have enough celebrity sports guests on the air to fill their show, while "The Monsters" come up a little light in that department.

That's what "Jiggs" & North did for years on The SCORE before management broke them up in the sports talker's early years down the dial. They took a lot of calls from average fans everywhere back in the day, Newper. As for "Mike & Mike", simulcast or no simulcast, you are correct. Greenberg & Golic, along with "Tirico & Van Pelt" and other ESPN Radio national shows are guest-driven, and rarely take calls from fans across America. They encourage fans to E-mail them at ESPNRadio.com.

I catch about 45 minutes of the show each day, not because I want to, but because I can’t help myself;). Anyway, after 3 months, just a few observations.

1.Pappy has no type of creative skill in his body. Any day now, the bookie priest will be back. He has simply taken the groundwork from his failed radio show and applied it to TV, which makes it ten times worse, because its like being a witness to a gay rape, its just something no one wants to see.

2.Jen, without a doubt, is the weakest link on that show, her lack of talent goes beyond words, now she has adopted pappy’s way and simply screams and makes a idiot of herself. I think its clear someone said something to Jigs about his jabs at Jen Jen, the no talent ass clown, because that “hate” between the two is gone, which is to bad because it was the best part of the show. Jen also must shop for shirts at the “clown shirt” store, just awful.

3.Jigs…..he just doesn’t care, it’s a check, you can see it in his eyes. I think he wants to care, but there is no reason to with North steering the ship, just enjoy the checks, easy money.

4.According to North, this show has had the highest ratings of any show on Comcast…..well, according to my guy, it has higher ratings compared to a show they would re-run for 3 hours, Comcast people are not totally un-happy, but its not what North told him it would be, so it is being watched a bit close now.

5.I am wondering where all the heavy hitting sponsors are and I think I will still be waiting for a long time. The biggest sponsor they have on that show is a company Comcast bought in, which isn’t a surprise. I give pappy credit, he lies well enough to make people think he has all these connections, but when it comes down to it, he is small time.

Since Pappy has reverted back to the loud, stupid and massive ego pappy, this show will last for awhile longer, it will give pappy time to assign blame for this failure and then it will be off to full time webio. Now…to be fair, webio isn’t to bad, webby and freddy is a solid show, so that was a good move, whoever came up with the idea to pair those two, kudos to u.

Blame North for everything.

Ya know, I'm not a North fan, but this TV gig is palatable in small doses, just like any radio show. Just like a customer response survey, you throw out the people responding with all 10's (Ike South) and the people responding with all 1's (SiD) and look at the middle of the road responders. This is a decent show and yes, if they get rid of the current female they'll be pretty decent in my book. Pappy may not have a creative bone, but he knows how to get a fanbase and make decent ratings. Given enough time, this show will get a pretty decent following.

City, I saw the show for the first extended time ever yesterday during the Cubs rain delay. I enjoyed it. Sure looks goofy wearing the hat backwards and is starting to rock a mullet, but I find him entertaining...and I even think that Jiggles is beginning to look like a professional in front of the camera. This is not a wholehearted endorsement, but at the very least, it looks like it belongs on TV in the mornings on a sports station.

I agree Dolphin. MITM sure beats watching and listening to Luke Stuckmeier & Gail Fisher
re-hash the same sports news that I have already seen and heard a dozen times already.
I prefer to listen to Jiggs & North in the morning rather than Mully & Hanley.

Neither should North, but that hasn't stopped him.
