Who is going to tell me who the Volleyball power is in the Central Waubnasia Valley now?

It was a real blood bath at the Trib Wednesday and some good people lost their jobs. John Mullin is one of the great guys in the newspaper biz and a terrific football mind. Missy Isaacson also got whacked... and she's a solid reporter and a good person, too. This recession just ain't no fun.

Sako always had that creepy molester look to me. No wonder he loved covering the prep sports. In fact, anyone covering high school sports at all is creepy.

Well, Rick Morrissey, who bragged the other day that he was right about how good Derrick Rose was going to be. Way to go out on a limb there, big guy.

And Teddy Greenstein, the phony who told us here how he disliked Mike North, but then wanted to join his webio venture until the Trib put a halt to that and told him to shut up and write about golf.

Maybe this explains why my paper didn't show up on my drive way this morning.

With Mullin, Sakamoto & Isaacson among the Trib writers cut yesterday, who will join host David Kaplan on "The Joker's Wild", a.k.a. "Chicago Tribune Live" on CSN?
