I admit it; I was wrong. As one of the most devoted North-haters on this board, I figured once the Score dumped that obnoxious SOB, they, with locally-oriented programming, would beat ESPN in the morning ratngs handily. The latest ratings prove quite the opposite.

Why can't the Score win in morning drive? What are they doing wrong? What does Mike & Mike offer to the average Chicago sports fan? I admit it; I'm stumped. While I don't consider M&H absolutely can't-miss radio, they're the clear choice for me in the mornings, but geez, I seem to be outnumbered based on the ratings.

I generally like the content and I would listen more if they both cut back quite a bit on the over-the-top laughter at things that merit little more than a chuckle and if Mulligan WOULD STOP YELLING FOR NO GODDAMN REASON!

Both of those things annoy the hell out of me and prevent me from listening more often.

It doesn't fit right in the morning time slot.

I think that I once posted on here that my dad called me and said "who the heck are these guys? They are boring!"...and that sums them up. And then Mulligan feeling a need to yell a lot makes it worse. I've said many times he will morph into Kevin James as The King of Queens on radio. I know Big Fan is bosum buddies with Mully and Hanley, but I just can't get into them.

I have said the show needs "spice" many many times. I appreciate the correct and timely info these guys provide. It was one terrible thing about North. His information was wrong/old/non existant. I don't need scores from the night before, but I cant have a guy telling me about a game he didn't watch.

The Man on the street needs to be put into play!

Nothing is wrong with this show. If you didn't like it to begin with, you probably don't like it now.

I'm not sure if people were expecting Mully or Hanley or both to change or start a new shtick for the new time slot. For me, it's the best and easiest listen on the Score. Just two guys talking sports without the attitude.

Still can't figure out the whole Mike and Mike phenomenon. I've tried that show out and just can't do it.

i dont mind the show, i liked it when it was the 10-12 show though. Its not very engaging and doesnt have any pop to it, which is something you need for a morning show to get numbers. Move them back to their old time slot and get some younger more energetic people in for the morning, and get a female voice in there. I have no idea why mike and mike get numbers, they are boring and mostly cater to new york teams.

I'm with Matt on all points. Today M&M made a (small) deal out of Cosby doing a Dickie V imitation. Massive branding of the incredibly bland, sez I. A whiter shade of pale, and all like that...

Dude,Kevin James is a comedy GOD! I moved up my Vegas vacation with my wife
just to go see him and Ray Romano at The Mirage. I also saw his brother,Gary Valentine
perform at the Schaumburg Improv. He was funny also.

Mully & Hanley are the perfect duo on a weekend show.
They cover the gamut & are very credible. BUT 4 hours
a day times 5 days a week, it does not work.
Mully's attempts at humor are weak at best,Hanley is
clever and sometimes it shows. The best way to describe
this show is " A little to the left of Vanilla".
It's not a bad show, just kind of boring. They need a HOT
girl in there to do the updates and flirt with the middle-aged,
pasty guys.....you know like Mike North did with Jen!

My opinions match a lot of the comments above...both good & bad. My additional comment is that they both seem to STEP on the callers and talk over them. Some people who call in actually make some decent talking points...and have something interesting to say...but these guys both seem to feel the need to jump in, on, and over the callers. It pisses me off from the standpoint that I sometimes want to hear what the fans have to say...and don't necessarily give a crap about hearing M&H's opinions repeated for the 5th or 6th time.

For the record...I have never called in to a radio show.

Mully's fake/pressed laughter is nails on the chalkboard. Zaidman filling in today was awful.

Only time I listen to this show is if they are talking baseball.

I really hate when Mully will say something like; The Bulls need to trade D. Rose...."NO THEY DON'T.

What the F is that it is not clever. They want opinions but they refuse to hear them.

Mully reminds me of a guy who is surrounded by
witter, funnier friends at a party. He feels the
pressure and MUST say something funny!
He's a good guy though,he shouldn't try so hard.

I'm sure the boys have taken your advice seriously and will be dining at Gibson's tonight, looking for executive producer material.

Is it just me, or does Mike Mulligan sometimes sound like the human Macy's Thanksgiving Day float, ESPN's Chris Berman? Just wondering...All that yelling isn't necessary, Mully. I enjoy what he & Brian Hanley do, but it's not necessary for "Mully" to raise his voice.

It was one thing when The SCORE moved quickly to name "M & H" as the sports talker's morning show once Mike North left. Little did 670 bosses know that it would weaken the shows that follow it, and turn them both into unlistenable junk that need to be removed NOW!

I was listening to Mike and Mike this morning as I usually do, and then at 8:00 they started to talk about Brett favre possibly making a comeback, I then directly proceeded to turn the dial to 670, and they were talking to don cherry, which was fantastic, I have never heard him talking blackhawks hockey, and then a little bit later they were interviewing john mcdonough. i don't know how the rest of the show goes, but I the interviews were fantastic. I think I'm going to switch radio alliances in the early morning.

Their show hasn't even started when I am on the way to work but I have
been catching their podcasts later on in the morning after they are posted.
They have been pulling some good interview guests including some of the
Bears picks. They aren't the best interviewers but they are getting
some different guests and with no commercials, it isn't a bad listen.

I'm a North guy,but this Jen-Jen thing sticks in my crawl & I can't let go. It's one thing to hire her (which was wrong in about 39 different ways),but to constantly throw verbal bouquets her way is what makes me mad! Hey,Mike...let the waitress walk, you'll be fine!
If that was me hiring Jen,my wife would have clipped me "Rondo Style".

i listen to this more then m&m, but mully over the top actions have to stop.

The interview was taped off-air the previous day.

I've been finding myself listening to Mike and Mike more often within the last few months. I actually like listening to Hanley; I think he offers nice insight. However, Mully is so incredibly annoying and I can't help myself to turn the dial.

1. He constantly talks over Hanley.
2. He screams all the time for no reason.
3. If I hear him say "glorious" one more time I might have to shoot my radio.
4. Although, I am a Sox fan I find it incredibly annoying to listen to him favor the Sox over the Cubs in his thoughts.

All in all, I'd rather listen to Mike and Mike talk about east coast teams rather than listen to Mully.

Too bland, but informative and, at times, interesting. Need schticks though. Big Doug was an outstanding idea but it got overdone because they didn't have anything else. It was like having a jumbo slice of overweetened carrot cake five times a day.
