The boys had a musical farewell for Doug on Friday. Said he is moving on to other ventures and they wished him well. Lots of praise heaped on Ol' Dougie.

My sentiments exactly, I will miss Doug and OB. I had not grown tired of their show at all, a very sad day indeed.
I hope Dougie lands somewhere to talk about the Bears. WBBM gameday, perhaps?

If I were Doug and OB I would stick together and immediately be looking for a post game gig on one of the five or so stations that carry post game in Chicago. I think they'd be great for someone like WGN. WBBM might not work because they are not exactly flag ship material. On the other hand, they could go to a non traditional outlet like WLS and probably get better ratings than the ordinary Sunday afternoon show. They might even be able to negotiate a one hour nightly show for themselves during the season.

Garry's show is way to chopped up to bring in another voice, IMO. Just when he gets going on a topic it's time for news/traffic/weather/ads.

They must do pretty well on billing at 'GN.

While he actually did try to pickup a girl I was dating (forgot about that until now), I just think he is a no talent ass clown that knows people in the radio business and thus continues to get a shot. He isn't smart, interesting, funny or even outlandish. He is the very definition of lame.

I am with bigfan on the Dahl/Cindy thing as well.

Dahl used to always play up that Garry (with two "r"s) was a good looking guy, but when you saw him on TV he was just another average schmuck...and he is older than Dahl.

Now I know fame and money overcome looks, but it's not like bigfan was a starving developer.
