From time to time, fights actually aired on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon on CBS, NBC on "SportsWorld" with Marv Albert & Dr. Ferdie Pycheco describing, and on "ABC's Wide World of Sports" with the late, great Howard Cosell, Dan Dierdorf & Alex Wallau among the commentators there. It was outdoors in 1982 that I remember Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini headlining a card at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas with Tim Ryan & Gil Clancy providing the descriptions on "CBS Sports Saturday". Mancini fought a guy named Joo Koo Kim, if I misspelled his name, I apologize ahead of time. "Boom Boom" knocked him out alright, as it was learned afterwards that his opponent actually died!
