I like the show just as-is. It's a drive-in show, not a "statement" show. Of all shows with people tuning in every 5 minutes, its this slot.

Big Doug will be missed, but it was a lot of parody shit, pushed hard & furious, to make it funny. Eventually, Doug had to come on & say something, too.

Not a huge fan of the show, but I listen occassionally. However anytime they go to interview anyone, I have to turn the station. Mully asks the longest damn questions, always throwing in a reference about himself. JUST ASK THE DAMN QUESTION!

This morning's a perfect example of what is wrong with this show. We have a team that lost to their heated rivals in the conference finals last night in O.T. and I have to listen to these guys talk about the White Sox game for the first 20 minutes of the program, followed by Cubs talk? I'm a Sox fan and really don't give a fuck about them right now. I definitely don't care about the Cubs, especially in mid-May. The Hawks were involved in another classic and this is what they open their show with?!?!?! I actually turned the dial and listened to Vanilla and Vanilla talk about 4 man pitching rotations for 45 seconds before turning off the radio.

M and H = informative, but REALLY BORING

while i am very happy for the Blackhawks, and fans of the team, their success is driving me further and further from the radio. im sorry, even at its height, hockey is a niche sport and there is far too much hockey talk going on these days for my taste. i think it is just my poor timing, but whenever i happen to turn on my radio it seems to be about hockey, and that ain't happening for me.

question: i don't have satellite radio, but do they have sports talk available on there? the deal with me is that i want national MLB and NFL talk for the most part. i want news and info about all the teams, and can do without any of these local shows, most of them suck. if they had a radio equivalent of MLB network and NFL network on there, that would work for me. does anyone listen to any of those type stations on satellite?

Gotta talk baseball. Remember they have a saturation-bomb ad that runs during Sox games that sez they must talk Sox.

I understand but couldn't they hold off on the baseball chatter until later? It's not as if my Sox are running neck and neck for first place in the shitty Central. I guess I expected them to jump on and start discussing an exciting playoff overtime game instead of a 4th place Sox game from the middle of May. Oh well!

Man of Few Opinions, I do believe there is some kind of MLB station available on Satellite, although I'm not very familiar with it.

That would be on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, just so you know.

I listen almost daily to the sports shows on Sirius (particularly when the local talk gets boring, or starts otherwise beating a dead horse). Sirius 210 is MLB HOME PLATE. Buck Martinez and Scott Graham host the morning show, and if you want a solid recap of every game from the previous night, it's a good listen. Rob Dibble on during the drive home. They take a ton of calls , and if you can live without all local stuff, it's worth it.

There is also an NHL channel (HOME ICE, 208), which as a hockey fan I love, because it's actually hockey people doing the shows (Scott Laughlin, Denis Potvin, Pierre McGuire, Phil Esposito, etc...), instead of nearly every local guy who's suddenly a hockey expert since the Hawks became relevant again.

The NFL channel is pretty good too, although I don't really listen much in the offseason, other than at draft time so I have no idea what a Tim Ryan, Jim Miller, Randy Cross or Peter King are talking about these days.

Plus you can get the radio broadcasts of every NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA game, as well as tons of college sports (If you have the Sirius/Best of XM like I do). Kind of nice if you're on the road on the weekend.

IMO, it's well worth the 100 bucks or so I paid for the year. I don't have a factory system, so I have docks for my Sirius radio in each of my cars and in my house.

Sirius Channel Lineup

Can any of these shows be podcast?
