So I just flipped on the TV and CSN was on from last night. I hear North talking about the reasons he has that Peavy declined the trade to the Sox and he left me with this gem of a contradiction. Here's North's reasoning from his little note pad.

"He's waiting around...July is coming up, he could get more money...other teams could sweeten the pot for ya"

A minute later, Jiggs asks "Do you think the whole deal hinges on the team guaranteeing for the last year of the contract?"

North's reply is "Not really".

Okay jerkoff which one is it? You're saying he's looking for someone to sweeten the deal but then turn around and say the ONLY way a team can do any sweetening won't really make a difference in him approving a trade. And what the hell is he talking about with Peavy wanting more money anyway? He's UNDER A NEW CONTRACT.

On top of that, it was obvious during the offseason that many teams are tightening their belts this year and it seems you're saying he's looking for some sort of extension or larger contract to agree to a trade. And this is after it was pretty much only the Cubs trying to get you since they're one of few teams that can afford you.

This "sweeten the deal" idea wasn't just something he said once and mis spoke. He's said it quite a few times now and Jiggs even agreed with him that it's what he's waiting for. Am I completely missing something here or is he just making a fool of himself here?

And yes I know expecting North to have a coherent sports thought or analysis is asking way too much nowadays but this is such an obvious contradiction I don't know how any adult could come up with that reasoning with a straight face.

And what's the meaning or story behind them saying "Knock it Dowwwwwnnnn" together at the end of their commercial reads? Does that mean, call now or something like that? It makes no sense to me. And why do I still have this crap on?

Did anybody else happen to notice the WSCR framed ad on the wall of the main concourse of The Cell two seasons ago?
