Something occurred to me the other day while reading some pappy posts and that is, things are starting to look the same and its getting way to personal when it comes to Mike. I actually looked back on my posts and saw that I never got personal with Mike, 100% reviewing his work. My outlook on Mike has changed, I see someone who is going to work every day and just trying to make something work, no different then myself or anyone else on this board and while I haven’t been a fan of him or any of his work over the last 6 years, I cant fault him for trying, I can fault his product, which I have, but there is a point were it just needs to end and wish the guy luck, because it is the right thing to do.

Do I think the Monsters in the morning will overtake any of the morning shows on at his time, no, but what does it matter, its his deal. Sure, if he says something dumb, he should be called out on it, no different then anyone else, but when it comes to Mike, we all expect it now, no surprise. That’s why I think its time to just let the guy go, if you want to watch it, watch it, if you don’t, then don’t, pappy isn’t going to lose sleep either way I suppose and that’s the way it should be.

I had a good time doing it and I think I was fair, it was 95% negative, I know that, but I also gave him his kudos for a good show or teaming up a webby and Freddy or a Hood and Doyle, sure some of those other teams are bad, but who here can say that we are perfect and everything we do works, not to many, maybe Keeping Score, but that’s about it;).

So like I said before, Pappy can be called out almost every time he opens his mouth, that’s a no-brainer, but he does it and doesn’t care, that’s his bit, either you like it or hate it and its that’s simple, to be attacked for that just doesn’t seem fair to me any longer. Maybe I am going soft or maybe I just realized that Mike deserves some type of kudos for lasting as long as he has in that business, because these days, it’s tough out there and to his credit, he keeps popping up, I respect that.

So, say what you will, but my days of burying this guy for every little things are over, for me, he just doesn’t deserve it, it doesn’t mean I want to go have a beer with the guy, it just means he doesn’t deserve the microscope he is under on this board, it really isnt warranted in my opinion. Don’t worry though…there is always my in-laws and sis in-law.

I guess I come from the other point of view. I always liked Mike North. He was nice to my wife during his TV show at Basta Pasta, had her stand up and said "Happy Birthday" to her right on TV. Afterwards his wife and him posed with us for pictures, even with my kids. I met him again a few months back,he shook my hand and still was very nice. I guess I understand his humor more then some on this board because I'm closer to his age. It's not until I joined this board that my opinion wavered slightly. Don'tFadeMe.com=Joke, the hiring of a waitress from Gibson's to become your "right hand" is questionable. Overall though,I still find him entertaining & he keep's things rolling on MITM.

RodeoVann, your vitriol is a treasure to this board. I hope you continue to unleash it from time to time, regardless of subject matter.

I already commented on another post that you did the dirty job that none of us wanted to do, but most of us took pleasure in reading. You need to do what you need to do. I respect you and what you have contributed. Thanks for all your hard work!

Yes- Rodeo was threatened with a suit. He's explained it dozens of times. he will tell ya about it sometime.

And Pasta? Why would you have pictures taken with North? I guess I dont see him as a celebrity. He sees himself that way but I dont. He's a lying con artist. Enjoy those pictures.

Yes, Mike was going to sue some people for talking to his closely guarded advertisers about Mike saying some alleged racist remarks.

Rodeo, was one of the people and he eventually apolgized, but it was just because any normal guy could not spend his days and $$$$'s defending a bullshit lawsuit, of which I do think he would have not only won but could have countersued for his legal fees, but as I said, who the fuck has the time for that?

I stated my position on Mike North long ago and many agree, he will not be something worth watching or listening to again until he is no longer in charge, which might never happen

Agree, there. He'd have to find his way back into big corporation radio again, which, MAY happen sometime down the road, and have someone who can wield a big stick & back it up.
