You inadvertently proved my point. Have you ever learned anything about football from Doug or OB? The basics of football are the same, of course, but if you believe 1960s-1970s football is more than a rough analogue to the modern NFL—and that Doug and OB actively have adapted their perspectives to this changed reality—then I can't help you.

I understand what you are saying, but a lot of points they bring up are the same things
other analysts are talking about,too. I think along with the "fire & the passion",they DO bring expert analysis to the table. I know the game is faster now with more powerful athletes. Still most season records are set by the new athlete because of a 16 game schedule as opposed to the old 14 game schedule.

It would be great if they sold their programming to the SCORE in place of Sporting News Radio. Listeners would get the local overnight programming that they want. Mitch would get his cheap programming. North would get his vindication. Everyone would be happy.
