I can say one thing. He is unique amongst Chicago's talking, pseudo-intellectual sportalk host. I mean, everyone sounds the same, the same format, same approach. Murph on the other hand, while weird and annoying at times, brings his own brand of sports talk. For the love of God, the man has got to have the greatest show intro. =)

after reading Cy's post, that's a real shame murph had to go racial/or has racial tendencies. Who was that one guy way back when who called Murph a racist on the air? Someone Williams right? Maybe he knew something the gen pop didn't.

1) The B&B ALS is really scraping the bottom of the barrell to accuse Murph of being a racist!

2) WSCR has so much confidence in Danny Mac's popularity that they won't put him against M&M or even the Afternoon Saloon.

Frontman contributes to White Sox Interactive, so his opinion on Murph, among other topics, is worthless.

He would have to talk over everyone who was on the show. I haven't listened to this douche for years. I can't stand the prick. Feel sorry for him? C'mon get real. This is a celebration day. Now maybe I'll listen to the station in the afternoon hour. I do have to admit though my stock portfolio may suffer from not listening to the noon business hour.
I am glad this jag is gone. I was surprised when the Score signed him the last time.
Now I just wish they would bring North back. With B&B, Mac and North, that would make for some very entertaining radio.

He wasn't always like that but ya, in the last 8 years or so, he was very negative and arrogant towards the callers. but he was great when he first started. Too bad he couldn't go back to that style.

I wouldn't even say it was that long ago, HawaiiYou. Five years ago, Murph was still a good listen. It was about a year/year and a half after he went solo did he become a raging asshole to anyone who wasn't in lockstep with his opinion.
