Verlander is a beast. I love seeing the Sox lose on nights when Hawk is bitching about umpires. I know its the wrong section but L-Ho said it was time for the Sox bats to eat tonight against Verlander. Someone needs to tell him this guy is a #1 starter, and a former all-starter.

Verlander was dealing tonight, and so was John Danks, but #50 was the victim of lack of run support and was the hard luck loser in this 2-1 game won by the Tigers...What makes this hurt just as bad is that Paulie left this game in the top 8th after taking what appeared to be an awkward at-bat in the bottom 7th.

If you saw the "HBP" on Inge, you'd either agree with Hawk or admit that you are blind and/or an idiot.

Regardless, tough to win when you only muster 1 solo HR.

Just returned from a trip to Florida and see the Sox still blow.
These guys suck from top to bottom and I knew they would only take one out of five games.
When does Bears training camp start?

Guys, I know what you're referring...Brandon Inge appeared to get grazed by a pitch in the top 7th.

Here's what happened to Konerko. He tweaked his thumb and was replaced by Fields in the top 8th. Paul's injury comes at an awkward time, especially with a 9-game Interleague Road Trip, all in National League parks without a Designated Hitter, and the chances of Jim Thome putting on a first base glove very minimal at best.

.086... :puker: :pukel: That's the batting average the Chicago White Sox are hitting this month with runners in scoring position. They went 0-for-6 tonight in that area and left 2 runners on third. Winning baseball, this definitely isn't...

Agree, it looks like it gets his sleeve. Its amazing it hit him, but A.J didn't say a word.

Paul Konerko is definitely out of the lineup today, weather permitting, vs. Detroit this afternoon. Joshua Fields is batting 9th at first base, and likely will be there when they head to Milwaukee, Wrigley Field & Cincinnati on the next road trip starting tomorrow if Konerko is sidelined for an extended time.

Thank God they pulled out that one out. Difference betweet 5.5 and 7.5 games back. Now we go play a struggling Brewers team.
