I'm a little disappointed that TB didn't take the high road on this one.

The one thing I have found to be true is that when I do the same thing and don't take the high road, karma has a way of coming back and biting me in the ass. So while I don't always take the high road, I try to consider it when making the decision to piss in somebody's oatmeal or not.

What makes you say this?

RFDC, unless Bob Brenly's planning to come down from the broadcast booth and manage this Cubs' team once Lou Piniella can't take it anymore, why would Brenly want the aggravation?

Why wouldn't you expect this from Terry? He's a blowhard - always was when he was a writer, when he was on Sportsfire, when he was with Mac, and now with Bernsie - he hates other writers who are more successful, think he is the the guy who knows more than everyone else, he does no wrong -

I am not a big fan of Murphy, but the right thing to do was to simply let it go - but tough guy Terry decided to get the last word - good for you creepy old man. Let's see how you act when your ass gets kicked out at some point (and it will happen - it always does).

It's a great day for the Score when they fire a guy who routinely wins his daypart, I guess. This whole thing is weird.

Oh, and no way is Murph ever working for the Cubs or WGN. Honestly now.

The first thing I heard when I turned on the radio today was Terry talking about it being a great day...

Really? I would think the great day would be Monday, when Mac starts...the fact that TODAY is the great day in TB's mind speaks volumes about him...pretty fucking cheap, but then again, I wouldn't expect anything less from someone who's held a grudge for so long...

Apparently...I don't really care...yes, it takes two to tango, and I don't absolve Murph from ever being a pudwhack (see last week's Tool of the Week) but for God's sake, let it go already Terry.

Anyone who thought Boers would take the high road is an idiot.

Terry couldn't find the high road with a map.

Dude, do you like anyone in Chicago sports radio? Or are you just an all around asshat?

There was a drop that the producers at the time (Speigel?) played over and over saying something about being in the shower with another man. Terry claims he did not ask to play it, yet Murph blamed him. Honestly, Im sure Terry had some say in it and could have stopped it.

ya boers is an unhappy old man. what do you think he would have done. I know Murph is an ass, but at least on the air for the most part he was a professional, prepared for his show, and talked sports. Unlike boers who mails it in everyday and half the time doesn't even show up at the studio.

Got to remind everyone how good Murph was on FanTalk (WLS) and his first years at the score. Remember back then, it was all about Chet Coppock and WGN Hub and crew , they would hardly take calls from fans, and when they did, they always had an arrogant attitude and would love to show how above the fans they were since they were on the radio. The Score changed that, especially guys like North and Murph (who ironically years later turned into exactly the tools coppock and wgn crew were). I dont know how or why murph turned into a tool on the air , we knew from all the stories off the air he was a tool, but on the air that never came out until I would say the last 7-8 years. Maybe had to do working along side guys like Mac and Boers and probably Murph's own fault he blew little things up to big deals which made him pissed off on the air which you could hear through the radio.

I think murph will be ok because he is a company guy, he plays the company line, and he won't burn bridges the way North did. Hopefully he can leave the score and get back to his old ways getting away from wannabe cool guys Boers , Bernstien, etc..

Heard the podcast of the finale, thought when murph said goodbye he had a taint of emotion there, like he was going to cry. Loved he played a Honeymooners clip there, first time probably in like 10 years, use to love it when he use to use those Honeymooners clips.

There's got to be a better way to say that.

He should have made a joke about facial hair and then giggled like schoolgirl after saying "by cracky". He then should have discussed parenting problems at border's followed by a recording of giggling by a schoolgirl. Finally he should have closed by mocking special needs children who ride the 'small bus' followed by a recording of giggling by a pre-adolescent male.
