Look, when North did his dontfademe shit, I thought it was the stupidest fucking thing in the world. Webio WAS/IS a good idea. If someone really gets behind it (money wise) it WILL work.

What I don't understand is how can Hernandez fire North, Bebe, Spaceball? If nothing else, there should be a wrongfull termination lawsuit coming. I've got a feeling Hernandez is going to be in big, big trouble here.

Hernandez was crowing to the esteemed journalist Ed Sherman that they had 7,000 to 10,000 hits per day...that translates into less than $100 per day in internet terms. Sounds to me like he didn't even undertsand the metrics. Anyone that knows the internet knows that those paltry stats are an embarasmment and never would have referenced them. Oh, and he said they were profitable, and like you, Sherman never questioned it. Too many naive lemmings in the world. Thats why things are so screwed up right now.

Yeah. I don't know how hits translates to money on the internet. But when I heard Hernandez crowing about 7,000 hits I figured that couldn't make up for his expenses. I've hit the site and I don't listen so the 7k doesn't mean listeners. I'm sure people went there when they saw the billboard at the cell or the commercial on TV just out of curiousity.

Let's say they had 7k listeners. That's not a lot for a radio station. But they didn't have 7k. I would say they would be lucky if they had 1,000 listeners through their 9 hour broadcast day. That's nothing. Hell, even stations with good listenerships don't get the ad money they used to get.

Plus the biggest factor was the lineup was 6 guys that nobody knows and/or cares to hear what they have to say.

And the overhead associated with those folks was multiples more than the revenue they could ever generate. Trust me, this doesn't pencil out with local talent no matter how much acid you have dropped.

Who the fuck remembers Coppock from his terrible suits on WMAQ? What did he do after - some crap on LUP and MVP. He's nothing on the national scene, despite what he wrote Feder about the money he earned in Vegas. Mancini's the only real national presence they have ( ), and the only thing he's really known for are two punches that killed Duk Duk Goose.

Most of these guys had little-to-no local following, and absolutely nothing on the national stage. Even so, I like Webber, Hood and Fred, and hate to see this happen to them.

First of all, if anyone who got one of the bad checks shows up to work Monday without a full explanation and restitution, I would ask why? But anyway, why bother listening?
