The other day Carmen ventured to bet on the percentage of Cub/Sox fans that would be cheering for the opposition this weekend (i.e. Twins/Brewers) would be very small. In other words he thinks that Cub Fans wouldn't want to cheer for the Sox to beat the Brewers to benefit the Cubs and vice versa on the Sox Fans. I think he is absolutely wrong on this one and it really doesn't show his baseball IQ on this one.

Can we set up a vote on this board on each declared fan (Cubs or Sox) and then have them vote if they would be rooting for the other Chi-town team this weekend or not?

M&H were talking about the same thing this morning. And of course 3 meathead Cub fans called and said they were rooting for the Brewers.

I hate the Cubs, but to root for the Twins this weekend is utterly fucking stupid.

True. I would love to see the Sox knock around the Brewers and I would hope that most Sox fans would want the Cubs to beat up on the Twins.

I went to Milwaukee last night. There were several fans in Cub jersies rooting for the Brewers. I would never root for a division rival while my team was still in the race.

I hate the Cubs just as much as I love the Sox.

Also, the Sox suck and are going nowhere so who cares about what the Twins do, its not like its going to matter in the long run for the Sox this year.

Truth be told, I was glad for the Sox fans I work with. They deserved to be happy about their Sox. Meatball fans got to ride along without deserving it, but what could I do about that? Such is life. Amazingly, it has managed to move on...
