I agree. This is the problem when you don't know the details and are surrounded by yes men. He needs someone who is willing to tell him shit he doesn't want to hear. All successful businesspeople have folks like that. You'd think Spaceball, as a lawyer and long time business person, would have served that role but he seems to have been along for the fun and seems like a real yes man (and spaceball). Frankly, all of the people who are trying to say this isn't his fault are the kind of sycophants that he has surrounded himself with and they've done him no favors. Like many have said here, he needs to listen to some of the naysayers to get a balanced view.

Hernandez was clearly the chief bad guy here but North made some huge mistakes and will continue to do so if he doesn't check his ego and begin to admit what he doesn't know.

It really is insane. Plus, anyone of the employees could have paid for a backround check. Chet, Jesse and Hood could have split the cost. They're all dumb. Not just North.
