I don't know if it's because I'm never quite awake until like noonish while at work..but I feel like Matty is screaming every time he talks. He makes very logical and well thought out points, but he's at an 11 and we need him around a 6.

Thankfully, the content is very good. Voice levels can certainly be fixed without much issue.

Even thought Plesac is the engineer of the blue silly train, he knows he's ball. Good to see him on a national gig with the MLB network.

So far, so good .... except for Crack Slippers - kinda forced, not so funny. I'd suggest just going with the straight concept (news that fell thru the cracks) and avoid the butt / drug jokes - leave that to TB (CRACK - I NEED CRACK ... by crackie).

1) Not sure why they feel the need to mock Murph listeners. Heard two digs in the 30 mins to which I listened.

2) No interaction with the callers. Callers have their say, Danny hangs up and comments afterwards. Polite but perfunctory.

3) The 'cracked slippers' shtick sounds pretty lame. Had one interesting tidbit (the hockey ratings) but the rest of it was boring I can't remember.

4) Wrigley/Cell Field debate is extremely original and probably has never been done on talk radio

Damn, Spiegs is making Mike Mulligan sound like Zach Zaidman.

He talks like a friggin' gimmicky gameshow host ... the O-ver a-NOUN-ci-A-tion un-NA-turally ... that or it's a the voice-lovechild of Mac and Chet.

I think I'm leaning more to listening to Mac live and downloading the Waddle and Silvy podcast in the evening. It's tough, but something had to give.... :(

I've got a better name for that "Crack Slippers" segment that debuted this morning. Try "Under the Radar" instead. 8) I think that works much better than "Crack Slippers" which sounds painful just to mention it...

Meatpants was very good in the interview with Plesac... could give Bernsie a run for his money as the best interviewer on radio.

I decided to give the Score a chance today and have been listening to both Mully and Hanley and the Danny Mac show. Does it always sound this "tinny"? The production quality compared to ESPN seems lacking. I like the content of the show and I am glad to hear Mac back on the air, but the sound just seems off to me. I will keep listening and see if my ear adjusts to it but it definitely sounds different.

Great catch Jack. I was messing with my radio the last two days as well . Don't like the quailty of the sound either. Hopefully that FM deal goes thru for the Score.

It has to be the "AM" thing because I listen to them on the stream and it sounds great

Ed - glad I am not the only one - thought I was going crazy :)

Stu - I will try the stream and see if it is any better.

I'm glad he pointed that out. I thought the Bears got an extra victory when he surpassed 4,000 yards.

Did Cutler come with the bevy of crap RBs from Denver, and the league worst defense?

Let's not forget, Mac wasn't in favor of this Cutler trade in his Sun-Times article. I guess he felt Orton, Caleb, and the NW kid were the answer. ...or perhaps he wanted to more first round busts to bitch at Jerry Angelo about. ;)

Well, Grid, before his controversial firing in the offseason, if there's one thing Mike Shanahan knew how to do, his running backs always tended to run for 1,000 yards or more in a season.

Spiegs needs to shut up a bit more. It's the Danny Mac show, not the Spiegs doing an impression of Mac doing an impression of Coppock show.
