SIMPLE! The man made a mistake! Mitch, put the offer back on the table less 10% for Doug being an idiot, he will acknowledge it and take the deal!

COME ON!!!!!!

Like I would tell my four year old, sorry honey, the goldfish died and it had to be flushed down the toilet. Its not coming back. Why dont you move on to some other goldfish, there are another couple of thousand swimming around.

Sounds like Puckhead Killed Big Doug

Now you have Doug doing nothing. No reason he does not come back.

But, I would see Mitch bring back a few people all at one time.

And if the goldfish is still swimming, you know where the goldfish is and you can get the goldfish even cheaper, bring back the goldfish

There's no good reason - on either side - for Doug not to be back ... actually, I see Doug and I'll raise OB as well for good measure. Just a quick press of the 'reset' button should fix this blue screen of death.

I agree that Buffone and OB were (are?) great on Bears postgame. However, the Big Doug segments on this show epitomized exactly why I can't stand it.

Whose fake laugh did you enjoy more during these terrible segments? Mulligan or Hanley? Seriously, you would've thought Buffone was a combination of Pryor/Murphy/Carlin in their prime. It was nails-on-a-chalkboard, must push the button radio. They might as well have used the laugh track that was employed for craptastic TV like The Brady Bunch.

I don't want to get into a Goodfellas-esque "Why am I so funny? Am I clown" type of discussion, but someone please educate me. I obviously missed something.

Their over-the-top phony laughter, even without Buffone, drives me to other stations or to turn my radio off. I wish they would tone it down because I want local sports talk in the morning. I would just prefer it with some sincerity.

This reminds me of that scene in Pretty in Pink when Molly Ringwold told her father, in regards to their mom "She left us and she's never coming back!"...

Aren't Holmes and Hampton the replacements for Doug and OB? If so, they're more like the turd in the toilet bowl than they are a goldfish.

I hate to say it. but if Mitch scheduled Holmes and Hamp for Bears post game, thats enough of a reason.

However, it is more a reason for OB and Doug to find some new agents, like Ronnie Woo Woo migh do a better job.

How long is Hamptons contract? I believe his deal pays him $150K annually but I don't recall the length of the deal.
I hope Mitch dumps Hamp and uses his money to re-hire Doug & OB.
I wont turn the Score on to hear a Hamp & Holmes Bears postgame show.

Is it really that important to win the 3:00-5:00 time slot on Sunday afternoons? Who cares what Doug/OB/Hamp/Holmes have to say? Watch the late game.

yes it is. They get a solid following and I enjoy the venting from losses. No wrapup shows complains about stuff except for them. So in a loss I need to listen, in a win I can go TV

Just read that Doug & OB will be back on the Score doing the Bears post-game starting in Sept. Hopefully this means "Big Doug" will return as well!

You read it right. Doug Buffone & Ed O'Bradovich will be back on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com next month to host the Bears' postgame show as soon as the clock hits zero on the Bears' game. That's the word from the SCORE's Laurence Holmes, who made the announcements inside the "Comcast Feedback Zone" before last night's White Sox/Mariners' game. Hopefully, "Mully & Hanley" revive the "Pick 5 w/#55" feature during football season, complete with Production Director Russ Mitera's clever parodies along the way. Also, Hub Arkush & Dan Hampton, who will host a special Bears/Bills' postgame show following their preseason game Saturday night, will co-host the Bears' pregame show on WSCR starting September 13th, some 3 hours before kickoff and will do so live from the Horseshoe Casino.

Hey, don't sell yourself short BF ... you're just as much a part of this re-signing as North was a part of Skiles' re-signing ....
