I listened for the first & last time to the Coppock show for about 10 minutes. I wish I could remember exactly what he said but he had the final farewell for the webio. He said something like: "Gone are the days when a handshake was your word."

Strange how Coppock, who ran a great last show, made it sound like this was a part of the changing radio industry. This was a con played out on a vulnerable group...plain and simple. Could have hjappened in the midst of the greatest bull market or the deepest depression. It really has nothing to do with radio at all...except that the victims wanted to be in the business so badly that they believed the unbelieveable.

I'm telling you this was unbelievable. The way they, to a man, thanked North and said they were looking forward to the next deal he can hatch for them. Truly amazing. The ability of the human mind to rationalize that which it wants to believe is unfathomable. The topper though was Jesse, after he gets away with his clarification about not feeling good about taking other people's money thru his paychecks...a clean get away, he leaps right back into the shitpool by saying that even Henrandez had good intentions with webio and hoped it would be successful "one or two years from now". The guy is a convicted felon who was looking over his shoulder as time melted away and he was screwing everyone who got in his path...no good intentions...ever.

North's only real talent since about 02 has been to Bullshit people. Like how he BS'd that former intern I met of his that told him since turning down the pay cut, he's making 2.4 million. Sure he flashed around a couple hundred dollar bills to a few random valets but he's bullshitted his way thru the last two jobs he had. He tried to fleece his fans with Don't fade me, he tried to fleece his coworkers with the Webio, while fleecing his fans. It's just bullshit.

JK you are so right, as North has a great track record of raising capital and interest levels in this town:

He was so over with the New York crowd, they DIDN'T hire him to replace Imus.

He was so powerful at the Score, that they DIDN'T think twice about letting him walk.

He had SUCH a LARGE audience, that he DIDN'T get picked up by ESPN Chicago.

He was so popular, that his webcasts DIDN'T continue after the lovefest of himself, Bebe, JenJen, and Spaceball all taking turns building him up.

He was SO successful at picking winners, that dontfademe.com FADED away.

He was SO insightful; so that when he published a book entitled "Settling the Score?" it was just drivel about how he felt sports teams in Chicago should of gone.

AND he has SUCH influence, that when it came to finding an investor; and being a complete professional, he and his wife GOOGLED a man's background, instead of dropping 50 bucks (that would be 1/4 of what one pair of JenJen's shoes at Kuros would cost, by the way) on a freakin' background check.

So; just as he he's done time and again; he'll find a way to come back. I'll give you that. As long as morons like yourself keep believing in this rags to riches story; as long as you overlook the track record he has above; you're absolutely right.
