Let's say Hernandez was actually legit. This business model sucked—it's a niche audience already filled by WSCR and WMVP. Too much upfront cost, too little advertising dollars coming in. In fact, the worst time in recent memory to land advertisers. It would've failed regardless. So what if they'd gotten into cars via WiFi or WiMax or even AM/FM radio. They would have been the 3rd station—with inferior talent—in an already saturated radio genre.

See, that's exactly the thing I kept thinking about. Before Mike even became enamored of DH's mahogany tables or BeBe did her super-extensive Googling of the guy, the FIRST red flag was already way up there: Even if DH was all he said he was--if every word was true--why would this big shooter with a gazillion dollars be investing heavily in Mike North's stupid little LOCAL Internet venture that featured "talent" that the other stations barely wanted anymore, some ex-boxer that barely speaks the English language, and that might get a few thousand hits a day? I don't know; a lot of us here sure thought it sounded fishy. If Hernandez was smart enough to make all this money legitimately on a medical employment agency, he's gonna piss it away on North in what sounded like the stupidest business deal since the Indians sold Manhattan to the Dutch for $24 worth of beads? God, was there NO ONE in the North camp to think this through? Idiots. All of them. Pure and simple idiots.

I still think if the goof gets away from this in one piece and puts some work into it, the concept is viable. Will take a lot of hard work to make sure they produce quality and stay lean and efficient. The content has to be restructured as well. Ideas need to be experimented with and gauged. It will yield rather minimal profits. Their goal should be to build a solid warchest for an all out promo campaign in 3-4 years when vehicular internets become common.
