I'm new here so perhaps this has been mentioned previously...but wouldn't a great drinking game be to take a swig whenever Mulligan tells us what station we are listening to and repeats the Score phone number? He has never seemed comfortable nor competent to me. I once thought Brian Hanley was great but he now is constantly looking for a punch line....throwing in a silly remark constantly. It's such a rough listen trumped only by that idiot Sean Salsbury on WMVP. He might be the worst thing to happen to sportsradio since Bill Simonson.

Oriole, read my reply post over in Salisbury and Hanley...I think we're on the same page here.

This show is actually getting better. Mully is funny and the two of them have good chemesity together. I just wish it started at nine so I would not have to listen to Sean SUCK-isbury and the poker nerd.

Agreed -- though I listen to one hour of North as I find him more tolerable than Rosenbloom/Salisbury. I had never listened to this show when Carmen and Silvy were on in this timeslot and find it pretty decent. It is nothing spectacular, but it is the best alternative. The Score is missing out on an opportunity by following this show with Murphy. I switch over every morning when Mike and Mike are over, but switch back to ESPN1000 the instant I hear Murphy.

When I get to work, I stomach as much as North as possible until 10:20 for Mulli and Hanley. I generally like there show. I will stomach one hour of DP at noon, b/c the 1p hour with DP and Keith is generally good. B&B at 2p, and then at 3p, I'll either keep B&B on or switch to MJH.

To me, these guys just sound like Chicago. They're the kind of guys you would find at the local watering hole... Unlike the douche who screams at you . I generally find that their two hours fly by and then I have to find something to do until 2.

North, whom I wouldn't listen to if he was giving away a million dollars ,bleeds over so far into the 10 o clock hour, I am radio homeless as I cannot tolerate that slug Salsbury. I actually listen to Jonathan Brandmeier until 10 and then stay with the music on The Loop until The Score is a North free zone. While Hanley seems to have calmed down a little and is not always speaking in punchlines,I cannot deal with Mulligan too well. He just seems uncomfortable to me and he makes me itchy,as Bernstein might say. Must he brand every single interview after the first question with "You're listening to The Score Sportradio 670..." and then do it a dozen more times during the interview? And what a drinking game it would be if you took a swig every time he mentions the phone number. It's like he is begging for phone calls. I occasionally wander over to WMVP-it's like looking at a car wreck---you're revolted but you can't look away---and nothing irks (and when was the last time you saw someone use the word "irks"?) me more than a caller telling Salsbury he is good. While it doesn't happen often, I automatically have no respect for whatever the caller has to say after he compliments "the next great sports radio superstar."
