1 - Shaer was introduced to Hernandez at a party at North's house in 1996.
If anyone knew someone well enough to invite them to their home for a party,
wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that they'd know that they went to jail two years later.

2 - Bebe North was/is the COO of Webio.
Isn't it reasonable to assume that the COO would have some knowledge of their company's financial situation?

3 - How many paychecks bounced? For how many weeks were paychecks bouncing.
Why did North wait until the day of his "firing" to bring the subject of bounced paychecks to light?
Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that the employees who received bouncing paychecks would
have told North about it at the time, since he was the one who directly recruited them for their jobs?

4 - North claims to have written personal checks to the employees whose checks bounced.
How much did he pay out? The entire value of the checks? Fort how many weeks worth of checks?

5 - How can someone reasonably claim that they researched a prospective partner by "Googling" them?
Especially someone with such a generic name as David Hernandez?

6 - How can any sane person believe that a start-up webcast could pay for $275,000 in advertising, $200,000 for Coppock, $90,000 for Webby and so on? These people must have known what advertising costs on MVP and SCR, stations they used to work for. A sane person would realize that the webcast advertising couln't bring in a mere fraction of what the terrestrial stations were netting.

Feel free to add your own questions.

how can one own 30% of this venture and not see that little to no money was coming in and not ask how the salaries are being paid?

How come no checks bounced to Spaceball, Bebe and mike?

I'll answer a one instead:

1. No. If you remember Pappy had at least one, if not more, listener events at Pappyland. I believe he had an NCAA tournament watching event in the bar in his basement. Should he be expected to know the private dealing of each of these people both at the time they came to the party and into the future?

Simple answer: They all thought David Hernandez was a rich jock sniffing idiot who was happy to basically pay for the right to be associated with them. They all knew webio was a joke, but they assumed DH was more than happy to lose money in order to hang out with jocks and radio personalities.

North believes himself to be a victim as well. Why would he apologize?

Bruce Wolf referred to North as a "victim" yesterday afternoon on WGN.
I find that difficult to swallow in this situation.

North doesn't think he's a victim, he thinks he's the hero who caught Hernandez before he could swindle even more cancer patients.

coming to the theaters near you,

a thrilling tale of triumph of a hot dog man turned gold digger,

The Norths claim that no invoices were sent to advertisers. Why?

Why didn't the Norths go ballistic? She's the damned COO. This part of the story makes NO sense to me.

No kidding, man. It's like the first tenet of any business, DO NOT LET THE RECEIVABLES MARINATE, NOT FOR A DAY, NOT FOR AN HOUR. These f-ers were sitting on them for months.

Hey My Coach Vinny, I noticed your pizza places. I hold the distinction of being fired 3 different times while working at Il Forno's in Deerfield many many moons ago.

Pretty much every friend I grew up with worked there at some point.

I actually worked at every single pizza place in Deerfield and a few in HP/HW growing up. Best jobs ever for a high school or college kid.

Well, I'm sure you'll find yourself at home on this board with the son of Il Forno's proprietor who is a regular here as well.

Nice, Corey posts here? I'm gonna have to ask him about that, we're facebook friends. He does have a lot of chicago sports radio/references in his status updates so that would make a lot of sense.

But, to clarify, Corey's mom was only the owner for 2 of my firings so she doesn't get credit for the full trifecta :)

Your killing me, Smalls!
The Outdoors Experience is heard in four states and is the
most listened-to hunting and fishing program in its area.
It is the best quality outdoor show and has the best guests.
The other shows compete with me. I say all of this humbly, of course.

Yeah, he told about some jagoff who couldn't get the pizza out of the oven in one piece getting fired over and over. Must have been you. Just kidding. Welcome to the piranha tank.

Like they would ever let me touch the actual pies. My favorite firing was when it was so busy Corey's mom had to take a delivery and she drives around the corner and finds me pulled over and participating in a neighborhood pickup baseball game. That didn't go over to well.

No, right in front of the Harrigan's house (if you know them, they had about 20 kids and half of them worked at Il Forno). Bernie Harrigan was pitching from his house and home plate was across the street against the fence for the cemetery. I think they lived on Osterman. I pulled over and grabbed a bat to take a swing, but ended up staying for 20 minutes.
