Fans, if you're looking for something to watch or DVR this weekend, this Saturday night's episode of "Svengoolie" on WCIU 26 "The U" is something extra special. Airing at 9p Saturday on "The U" & replayed at 1a Sunday on WWME 23 "Me TV", "Svengoolie" will be celebrating his 30th Anniversary on Chicago TV. Host/executive producer Rich Koz, the man known as "Svengoolie", will be showing the 1958 black & white movie "Attack of the Puppet People" from the MGM/United Artists archives in an all new show this Saturday night. The real fun occurs during stoppages in the movie, as "Sven" will be showing classic bits, song & commercial parodies, etc. throughout the show. I've been a big "Svengoolie" fan since he was at WFLD 32, long before the station became one of the FOX Television Stations, and to this day, he's still as funny to this day as when he showed the movie "In the Year 2889" when he first came out of his coffin in 1979. As part of his 30th Anniversary celebration, you are encouraged to visit WCIU.com, where you can actually create a cake and a message for this city's undisputed king of horror movie hosts.
