There is not much of a 9th inning rally you can expect when you have three guys hitting under .240 coming up with 2 guys hitting under .230 on the bench.

But they have grindy intangibles so that makes up for it.

Ha, turns out Lou told Bradley to go home, and he took him up on his offer!

Funny to see Lou finally show some emotion too... but why was he so sweaty? It's not that hot out, especially in the shade.

Well obviously this Zambrano-Barrett like exchange will propel the Cubs into a season long hot streak.

I would have no problem with Big Z rearranging Bradley's face.

Three things from today's game...(1) Milton Bradley basically thumbed his nose at Lou Piniella and was promptly replaced by Ryan Freel in right field in the middle of today's game, yet Lou plans to put the moody outfielder in the lineup tomorrow vs. Mark Buehrle. BIG MISTAKE! (2) Alfonso Soriano played like a dog (what new?) in left field misplaying what should've been a routine pop out in the bottom 8th. (3) Ozzie made the right call pinch hitting Anthony John Pierzynski for Ramon Castro vs. Sean Marshall, but A.J. hit one a tad too high on the first pitch in what turned out to be a double play ending what could've been a big inning vs. a really wild Carlos Marmol...

People should be pounding Lou for letting Marmol pitch to Thome. He should have lifted him for Marshall. That has been forgotten though, with the lucky win, and Bradley being a d-bag again.

This will not be a nice weekend for the Cubs. I'd be suprised if they score more than 10 runs over the 3 games.

Well they scored 5 in the 1st game. Whether they score 2 ,(1-0 wins is games Sat & Sun) or 20 more in the series is unimportant. Just as long as they score 1 more that the Sux each game. Oh, and so far the weekend is very nice!

So far in the first inning we have had a bad at bat by Lee and Theriot, and Dempster giving up doubles to Pods and Dye. Dempster needs to get his shit together, he has been bad lately.

Dempster is horseshit. Walks Wise with 2 outs, then lets him steal 2nd, then give up a single to shitty Pods. Dempster really needs to get his head in the game. He has been horrible the last month, way to many walks.

Cubs making Buehrle look like Nolan Ryan, having trouble catching up to his 90 m.p.h fastball, I could hit that shit in my sleep.

Anytime Dempster wants to keep a runner close at 1st would be great. The Sox are running all over him, its starting to get ridiculous.

I'm done with Dempster. They finally give him the lead, and he comes out and gives up a homer to fucking Pods, that should never happen. Get your head in the game.

This fucking idiot. He has a 2 out walk and hit batter, and now the bases are loaded. This is ridiculous. Another guy Hendry over paid. Now he gives up a 2 run single, just a horrible outing by Dempster, thanks.

Freel can be released at any time now. He brings nothing to this team, like many other guys on this roster.

Nice comeback this inning by the Cubs, to save Dempsters sorry ass. Hopefully the bullpen can get it done for 4 innings.

Horrible route by Fukudome, turning a double into a triple.

How about throwing a few strikes, he has been behind every hitter this inning.

That may be the first positive thing I have seen Freel do. Nice job.

That Theriot at bat was horrible. Bradley just blows, hes late on fastballs right down the middle.

Another horrible outing by Marmol, this is getting ridiculous. He has Ramirez 0-2, you don't need to throw hit a strike, but of course he does and he slaps it past a slow Theriot.
