I can not confirm this, but the person I sat with today at US Cellular, who did give me a his card and he is VP of a sports production company said that the Next Step Sponsorship deal runs out in mid July. When he told me this I remember Hernandez saying that he had a deal through sometime in July in one of his many love making sessions with Eddie Sherman.

Thus Mr. North needs a new major sponsor to pay the bills or he is off the air, unless of course he chooses to underwrite his own show, which in my new friends words" he is so dumb and full of himself, he will convince himself he should."

Considering they dont have weekend shows look for a July 10 or Jul 17 to be a ciritcal day.

If there's no NEXT STEP, then that deadline has to be non existent. That money isnt there now. I see this ending any day now.

Remember-

Hernandez will have plenty to say. If you're Comcast, would you want a guy on the air thatt may be publicly implicated any day now? My guess is those in power at Comcast have pulled the plug on the Monsters. If North is reportedly dirty, then Comcastt will look bad.

Remember when DH said he demanded Mike North off the air and he said he had a deal with comcast until July something? He must have paid for that period, so I think the money is probably in the bank. Will it come out of the bank is another question.

There has to be some date that Comcast has (probably mid July as mentioned) that is the last date MOnsters is paid up until. Again, I just dont see Comcast management, national or local, risking their reputation on lil ol Mike North.

What if its reported that Hernandez has told the authorities (true or not) that Mike North knew about his shady business dealings before they teamed up? What if its reported that Mike North (true or not) hAD something to do with the con job at the webio?

I cant see Comcast management risking the bad PR when advertising dollars are few and far between having Mike North associated with your company when he's implicated as an assoaciate in illegal activity.

This goof has lasted a lot longer than anyone thought possible on his force of aggressive stupidity alone.

Comcast realizes he is one big sideshow....no one has cared about any of North's sports opinions for years because everybody figured North was selling out...If he was praising somebody, especially local, there was something in it for North.

Right now mediawise North is the car wreck on the Ryan that is causing a 3 mile gapers block. He sure is getting a lot of attention.

How long this can go on is anybody's guess.
