I think I'd want to see someone other than TMZ confirm this.

Not saying it isn't true, but ...

Edit: LA Times is reporting he's still alive, but in a coma.

Were the paramedics singing "Wanna Be Starting Something" while performing CPR?

Back in the day when he was a balck male his music was not too bad. Radio Paradise is playing Billie Jean right now. Quite a likable song.

Report is he took a shot of Demerol, started to become short of breath and then went into cardiac arrest.

First, we said goodbye to Ed McMahon. Next, John Callaway passed away due to a heart attack in Racine, WI. Earlier today, Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with anal cancer. Now, Michael Jackson passes away, and even the non-news channels are going bent over backwards with nonstop coverage and replacing scheduled programming in favor of his death. WOW!

Michael Jackson is my 1st fav singer. I was about 4 or 5 when Thriller came out. I remember being mesmerized by the Thriller video. I used to wanna be as cool as Michael Jackson was in the Billie Jean video. My mom bought me the album and she paid the consequence of having to listen to it about 10 times a day until she bought me Off the Wall a short time later. Yes he's in the same category as Sinatra, The Beatles and Elvis as far as musical impact go. It's very unfortunate that he will be mostly remembered for the scandals and oddities that surrounded him.

agreed 100% hernandez. i was about the same age when "thriller" came out, but i'll never forget my friends and i would gather round the TV with our VHS tape of the video around halloween time, freaking ourselves out and then trying to mimic the dance, then playing "ghosts in the graveyard" and stuff. i still remember when "bad" premiered on MTV.

Michael Jackson may have been given a lethal dose of Demerol. This is a drug is about 10x more potent than Morphine (but is a Morphine derivative) and that when they inject it in the hospital, it is very easy for the dosage to start to put someone into heart failure. They typically have a second drug on hand when administering Demerol called Narcam or something. If the person goes into heart failure, the Narcam is immediately administered and it reverses the affects. Since Demerol is a pain killer, when the Narcam is administered, the patients can shoot out of bed in horrific pain (which is just returning from not being present at all during the Demerol treatment). Without Narcam, the Demerol can easily kill you....They avoid giving it at the hospitals, if they can, because of how powerful it is and it's most often used for people on Chemo although there are other reasons.

If this guy was giving it to Michael Jackson at his home, perhaps he couldn't get the Narcam ready in time. Jackson was under 120 lbs. in an almost anorexic state, was reportedly on dialysis for kidney problems caused by Lupus which puts strain on the heart, and was addicted to pain killers for 20+ years, which means a higher dose than normal would've been required to create the same pain killing effects. This could easily have meant that too much Demerol was administered. Its interesting that his autopsy showed no immediate sign of death and that 4-6 weeks will be needed to determine the cause of death. That is ironically exactly how long it will take to get back his tox screen to determine what was in his blood.

A prominent doctor said that heart failure by any natural cause would be immediately able to be determined the following day. Clogged arteries, arterial plaque, water on the heart, damage to the heart walls, blood vessel rupture in the brain, or a blood clot travelling to the heart, lung, or brain, etc. An inability to determine the cause of death within two days likely means the death was drug related and that the 4-6 weeks is required to return exactly what drug and in what dose proved lethal, as the body typically stops absorbing the drug when you die.

This doctor may have killed Michael Jackson.

Nice. Let the games begin...

Yeah. The Doc killed him. You hit it all BD. He should have had the reverse drug at the ready when he pumped him with demerol. He didn't. He shouldn't have waited 45 minutes to call 911. Although it wouldn't have mattered. The guy who called 911 said they were working on MJ for 45 minutes. C'mon. The Doc should have known that after 5 minutes he's gone. He was also on a bed. You have to give CPR on a hard surface. A Doc should know this. This Doc will go to jail. He'll certainly be sued for a wrongful death.

MJ was in no condition to do these 50 concerts. He was a junkie. The people who signed him to this concert deal knew it. That's why they had a Doc with him at all times.

There was a Doc on "Larry King" that said this is a big problem in Hollywood. Doctors are drug peddlers. A lot of celebrites are prescription drug addicts and Doctors enable it.

You mean Elvis Aaron Presley. Also it was Doctor Nic that was riding on his star because of Col. Tom Parker, who both wanted to be associated with the biggest star in music/entertainment. It is amazing how many people are so blinded by fame that they will do anything to become attached to some one and bleed them for all they can.

Reminds of of the relationship between Anna Nichol Smith and her "lawyer" Howard K. Stern.

I think 'Off the Wall' was much better than 'Thriller'.

MJ lived the American dream. In what other country can a young balck man grow up to be an old white woman?
