He needs a vacation to prepare a new set of lies for the feds!
Hopefully, Comcast uses the vacation to bring back Sportsrise for an extended period of time.

The only thing I could figure is that Dan Jiggetts & Mike North may be on vacation next week, and it may have been arranged long before the debacle that became ChicagoSportsWebio.com and the scam involving David Hernandez.

They ought to do their last show live from the day room at the MCC and interview David Hernandez!!!!
Brought to you by Attorney David Spada.

Here is the fishy part of being off next week, why both? PTI always has a fill in, this has to do without a sponser or other issues. Just doesnt make sense.

When PTI hears that Pappy doesn't have fill-ins, that will be the end of that business.

Update- I just got a reply to my email asking about next week. Their reply said that the monsters were on vacation and a "best of" would be shown the week they are gone. My reply to that was "so nothing will be on?"

Still a little funny considering this was their morning anchor show. In a city this big, you'd think they would want highlights of the teams on the network they are on. Any legit shows have subs or fill ins. Is all very weird. I dont buy it.

SportsCenter, ColdPizza, GMA, Today, CBS MOrning and so on all coninue to air a live show. A Mike North production doesnt?

Read between the lines guys. Its All DONE

Here is a crazy idea for ?mr. i can sleep at night", let webby, bock, george, fred and jesse sit in as hosts since they are out of a job, this doesnt add up.

Thats a good thought Vann....someone should ask one of those guys on FB about that....I would think that North would owe those guys a little something...

Reruns for a week? Something is up. You don't rerun a live 3 hour morning TV show. Not for an entire week. Maybe for a monday holiday but that's it. Cubs and Sox play every day and they'll be doing reruns? Pat Boyle can't do it? They can't split up Pappy's and Dan's vacation time and get a sub for one of them? They both have to be off at the same time? Who is gonna update the people on the traffic and weather if they're in reruns?

This is the beginning of the end.

They are only reruns if you have seen them in the first place. If I were to watch them, they would be new to me.

RV makes a great point - they should have let Fred, Weber, Hood and Doyle host during their week off.

Comcast has 5 or 6 anchors/reporters that do "Sports Nite" on their staff. Somebody can fill in. Comcast wants out of this mess. They just want to do reruns until they figure out how to get out of it. That's what I think.

I think they should run movies during the week off. You know, have kind of a film festival with a "frauds & scams" theme: Wall Street, Catch Me If You Can, The Smartest Guys in the Room (a documentary on the Enron scandal), Fargo, Double Indemnity . . .

If Mike could just spare a few minutes of his vacation time, he could record some segments where he acts as the "host" of the movies, kind of like Frazier Thomas in the old days of Family Classics. Sitting in a nice chair in a smoking jacket by a fire . . . "OK, now in dis nex' segment, watch how Charlie Sheen, wit da help of da rich English dude, drives da price of Gekko's stock down. Now, I gots tuh tell ya, as a street smart guy myself, I dunno how Gekko could be dat stupid tuh let sometin' like dat happen. I woulda seen dat comin' a mile away. An' now, pleez enjoy da conclusion of Wall Street."

I was thinking more like mob movies.

If I were to watch the reruns, which I won't, I would belly laugh with each and every view of the Next Step sign on the set. Great bonus advertisement for that solid company.

I don't think it will happen.

Very good song by the highly underrated and underappreciated Brad Whitford.

Isn't MITM a low budget show? How do you think they could afford fill-in hosts?
