My mother's a very-senior citizen and hates Mike North. As a matter of fact, she hated him before I did. When the Score was new and I was still willing to say he was funny and different, she said he was an asshole. Sometimes our parents are right.

Yah, I give North zero credit for this - he's been doing it for years, and as bigfan pointed out he's ALWAYS made it a point to have his media-peeps gloss him for it.

I believe North started out with decent intentions and a somewhat caring heart, but long ago the guy gave that crap up and became completely obsessed with himself. I don't know if that sort of thing is unavoidable in this day and age, but it still doesn't make it any better.

It would be pretty great for the old guy who has to attend job fairs because of his investment with Hernandez showed up at the bingo tent.

Maybe North can rig the bingo game for the Hernandez investors?

NOTHING North does is done to just be nice. It is done for is own ego or to make him feel good and become part of the BS machine as one of his 200 charities.
he drops a quarter in one of those jars at the hot dog stand and he is now involved in lukemia foundation, then buys a red heart from the kids at stop lights he is in that charity and then buys a pack of M&M's and now supports the Inner City Boys Bucket teams.
