Probably destined for the farthest depths of hell, but "The Fog of War" is possibly the best documentary of this decade.

A movie I've wanted to see forever and always forget about. It's going in my queue for netflix.

Fog of War is amazing. You see one of the real monsters of the century step back and rethink his previous worldview. However, even his new found paradigm is still imperialistic and fucked up. It is rare to say the least to see one of the century's most famous people admit wrongdoing instead of continuing to rationalize what they did through country and god.

Guy couldn't run a war. And the war was a real fucked up war. Interestingly, when JFK was in office and was rolling back troops in Vietnam, McNamara was all for it. When Johnson became Prez, he did a 180 and supported escalation. Shows you how much of a total whore McNamara was to the federal gov. he knew decisions were being made that were totally wrong but didn't step up to stop them.

Just saw the documentary Fog of War on google video and yes, he to his end still wouldn't admit wrongdoing. I guess he's the last generation's Cheney.

Yeah, but then he resigned in 67 because he wanted the war to end, but it went on until '75.

If I remember correctly, McNammara was the president of Ford and gave the world the Mustang.
