On days when I'm home and have the Score on, I usually start listening around 9. Under the old format, by mid-to-late afternoon, I'd get to hear parts or all of four shows and seven hosts.

Now, that same time period gives me only two shows (and those are linked by transition) and four hosts. Not enough different opinions, styles, approaches, formats, etc., to keep me from turning the dial. While I agree Hamp & Holmes had to go, I do miss the variety of the old schedule. Just my opinion.

I think it's become more streamlined, easier to listen to The SCORE since Dan McNeil & Matt Spiegel technically replaced the train wrecks that were "Hampton & Holmes" & Mike Murphy middays. When Mike North left last summer & SportsRadio 670 moved "Mully & Hanley" to mornings, they should've done away with 2 hour shows between 10a-2p weekdays and handed the show over to one show for the 4 hour time period. Less is more...

Not really, personally I think 3 hours is the most I want to listen to one show, no matter how much I like it. 4 hours is pushing it. 1-6 with a transition is almost twice as long as it should be.

KDdidit, you bring up a valid point. I don't understand why "Boers & Bernstein" is now a 5 hour show, complete with the crosstalk with Danny Mac & Matt Spiegel...If I ran The SCORE, having "Mully & Hanley" go from 5-9a weekdays is OK with me, but Dan Patrick's syndicated show would air from 9a-Noon with "B & B" going from Noon-3p and "The Danny Mac Show" going from 3-6p weekdays, or vice versa. It probably will never happen, but the Patrick show, when he was on ESPN Radio, was BETTER LIVE!

I dont think a major sports city should have a national syndicated show

I don't think a major sports city should have had a show as bad as Hamp & Holmes, either.

Anyway, I used to agree with you, but with the trouble the Score seems to be having filling its broadcast day with decent local guys, maybe I'm not so opposed to Shark's idea of sticking Patrick in there. NINE STRAIGHT HOURS with no other programming besides Mac/Spiegel/B&B isn't doing it for me.

Dan Patrick blows.

You lose me when you push Dan Patrick, Sharko.

I happen to like Dan Patrick, but I'm probably the only guy on this board that does. In a perfect world, The SCORE should run the Patrick show right after "Mully & Hanley in the Morning" from 9a-Noon and then you'd have 3 hours each of "The Danny Mac Show" and "Boers & Bernstein" in the afternoon from Noon-3p & from 3-6p respectively. I never said it would happen...
