Hey guys, I posted this over in the MMA/Wrestling section a week or so ago, but since some of you were wondering what some of us chicagosportswebio people were up to, I figured I'd post it here too.

I started my own MMA website a few weeks back, and I'm pretty pleased with it so far. If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you the address. Hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer so far.

-Tim

Thanks for checking it out! I'm actually feeling much better. I had those symptoms for about a week, but all of a sudden last week I started feeling better and it hasn't returned *knock on wood.* I was taking apple cider vinegar tablets that someone recommended, and it seems to have worked. I'll definitely let you know if it returns though, it was brutal.

Thanks again!

Why not spam the whole board shilling your site?

Says the guy who has his website at the bottom of all of his 430 posts. Why do you have to be an asshole? I've seen posts around here saying you guys haven't heard from any of us since Webio went down so I figured I'd tell you guys what I've been up to. Sorry it is so upsetting to you.

Iam also not starting threads begging for traffic in multiple forums, I keep the link in my siggy, like everybody else here, leaving those who want to go there the chance instead of begging ppl to click on my site, tulip.

How come you wernt out begging for sponsors for your dead as fuck web radio station as focused as your shilling yet another MMA blog thats saying the same shit every other MMA blog is saying? You might have hit $3000.00, lulz.

Oh yeah, JTLYK, your link to your buggy blog states its a phishing site, congrats harvesting IP's and selling the info to make money you WONT have to give back.

You're a real man aren't you, talking shit on an internet message board? I'm mighty impressed by you. You know, 99% of the people on here are good guys. Even Beardown. Then there's you. My blog is not a phishing site, but I wouldn't expect you to know what you're talking about.

You were also one of the guys celebrating the fact that we lost our jobs. You're a class act man. You are the reason that barely any of the producers/hosts post on here. For every 10 nice guys we deal with on here, there's a bitter asshole like you. You bring the credibility of the whole site down with your posts. I feel bad for the rest of the guys on this board who have had to put up with the rest of your 430 asinine posts.

Yeah, I worked at sportswebio. I'm sorry if that makes me a laughingstock to you. I had been working at the score for 6 years for peanuts. I was working two jobs and 16 hour days just to scrape by. I was getting home from work at 1:30 in the morning, not easy for a guy with a new wife. I had an opportunity to finally quit my 2nd job I started 10 years ago when I was 16 and work normal hours for a decent salary for a change. I'd have the pleasure of having dinner with my wife for the first time since we were married in 2007. I took a chance and it didn't work out. It happens. I'm not complaining about what happened, never have. I made my own choice for my own reasons and I don't want people to feel sorry for me.

I'm happy with the website I started. My brother-in-law hosts the site for me along with his website, and websites for a few other friends. Maybe that's why it came up as a phishing site or whatever. I don't know. I worked hard to get it started and continue to work hard on it now. In between looking for work, I work on the site. I just thought some people here would be interested in it. I'm sorry my post offended you so much you had to rip into me.

Quit your crying, nobody cares.

Spada gets lynched every time he shills his show, and he has real guests. Your shilling a blog that has countless blogs about, and theres nothing that distances you, from anybody else, truth.

You post in the MMA forum, then use the great, "well, come see at my blog" bullshit, your shilling, taking traffic, or trying to take traffic away from this site, thats a no no. Instead of shilling, why not make one thread, then let ppl judge for themselves if they want to go there by your opinion here, that you post on THIS board? Too hard a concept?

Steve posts here regularly, and never shills his site, but posts here enough to be a regular, thats what seperates him from the bullshit your trying to do. Your not even a regular poster here, just some guy who lost his job and is looking for sympathy via clicks onto his site.Almost everybody has a link in their siggy, and nobody jumps from forum to forum looking for a hand out in terms of clicks....until you.

If your so intent on reppin your blog, why arent you on MMA boards doing it instead of a board thats basicly ripping the shit out of chicago media and sports? Instead of trying to make ppl feel sorry for you when somebody takes your shilling to task, why not go and use all that free time you now have on account of listening to Mike North and actually make a MMA site worth visiting?

How many times do I have to say I don't want people to feel sorry for me? I know you have problems reading, but goodness. I'm done with you. Enjoy being an asshole. I'm sure it's served you well throughout your life. You sure talk like a tough guy, so I'm sure you are! Wouldn't want to mess with you! The good people on this board don't need guys like you. I told you why I posted in the first place. Blame the guys who were talking about not hearing from any of us. I was an employee of cswebio posting in the cswebio forum. It made sense to me. I'm a nice guy by nature, I don't understand how people grow up to be jerkoffs like you. Must have been picked on a lot.

He may not be a "regular" poster but tim is the only poster around here that I've seen surfing this site while being interviewed on the lead story of the local 10 o'clock news.

That's more pub than I've ever given this site.

Tim, while Cup's tone may have been on somewhat edgy antagonistic side, he did offer a few constructive pointers.

You are correct. To help fix things, I took the address out of the original post and my sig. My intention was not to take traffic away from this site (not that anyone went to my site anyway) and I apologize for that.

Supercup-I apologize to you to, I shouldn't have called you names. You had a few valid points, which I have hopefully corrected. As I said, I'm a nice guy by nature and my temper got the better of me. If I ever see you at a remote, I'll buy you a beer or other beverage of your choice (provided my meager bank account will allow it) and we can talk sports or whatever else.

I apologize to you guys and to bigfan for "shilling" my website. I just started it and wanted people to take a look, it's not like I was going to do that everyday. But I understand i made a mistake. Anyway, hope you all have a good summer.

-Tim

By the way, his opposition to "shilling" your site was not one of the constructive pointers. Read again, the part about improvements.

Well, for it being about 2 weeks old and a one man operation who has limited finances, I've gotten a good response thus far. I'm happy with it, sorry if it doesn't live up to supercup's (or his odd spyware detector's) standards. It has what you need. News, a place to comment on the news. I was doing live round-by-round updates during UFC 100 for those who couldn't watch. I know a few people who followed the action on my site. I broke the news about Chuck Liddell and Mask being elected to the UFC hall of fame before any of the other sites I frequent. I thought today's column on Lesnar was pretty good. I don't know, I thought I was doing a decent job thus far.

I have no problem what ppl put in their AV's or siggy. What I have an issue with is ppl using this place as a means to leech traffic.
Steves also has how many posts here, and is a regular contributor to the riff raff, and half the time is flaming with ppl. Tim here is shilling his site shamelessly. He isnt nowhere near 100 posts. Is that right?

Maybe if he took the time to offer a decent opinion about MMA here, at this board, debating with those here who contribute on a regular basis, kinda like Steve, then nobody would question anything, I sure as fuck wouldnt. Then if his insight was interesting enough to make me click on his website, that not only helps this board, but his also.

Everybody here throws Spada under the fat chick for doing this, why not Tim?

He can put a link in his sig, its going around making threads telling ppl to go to his site, without contributing fuck all here I have a problem with.

The only thing I request is to contribute here more.

MMA is a fantastic sport and if your going all in on a site, why not build an audience the old fashioned way instead of pulling troll shit?

Come on bro, your better than that

I understand that and I'll try to contribute more. Usually it's a little hard to get past the 15 WWE posts to get to something to comment on. Nothing against WWE or fans of it, I just haven't watched wrestling in a really long time and don't know anything about it.

I am trying to spread the word the old-fashioned way. I post on MMA sites as well. I just don't come here as often as I go to those places. However, I post most articles to my facebook account as well as to the Twitter account I've set up for the site...those aren't really old-fashioned ways I guess, but you get the point.

If I post something in the MMA forum that is from my site, but has the full text of the article without it linking to my site, is that fair game? Not trying to be a jackass, just asking seriously. That way people can read it without having to leave this site. I think that's what the guy in the Wrestling section does with his stories, but I'm not sure.

Since you seem to know MMA, what would you like to be added to the site? Someday I'd like to have a forum on there, but that probably won't happen for awhile. I like the recent events and upcoming events pages and try to keep those as up-to-date as possible. Let me know what else.

-Tim

Exclusive interviews.

Interviews where you are the one asking the questions, and not the run of the mill, real questions that need to be asked, with a Chicago flavor.

And posting your stuff here is great, look at what Kuj does, thats gold. When Kuj does that, it makes me go to the sites, and also brings plenty of debate.

Exclusive interviews.

Interviews where you are the one asking the questions, and not the run of the mill, real questions that need to be asked.

Fair enough request

I didn't really expect to, but I pretty much agree with Supercup on this. Except in this case I think an exception is in order. Even though tim hasn't posted much, he's not just like some insurance salesman that has 34 posts about how Lovie needs to comb his hair back like DA COATCH and puts up two threads about his new T-shirt website.

Along with Webby, tim was pretty much the only Webio employee giving us an inside look and answering some questions about what was the biggest topic on this board so far this year, including after the blowup if I remember. Also, there's a whole section dedicated to him and the people he worked with that must be pretty popular since Webio hasn't even existed for a month or more and it still gets alot traffic. I've read a number of posts about people wondering what these guys are up to. Not to mention the thousands of threads analyzing the mental capacity of tim and the others for even going with the venture in the first place. So, I'd cut him some slack in this case.

If Pappy came out here and his first post was about his new www.areyoustillthinkingaboutfadingmemotherfucker. com.cuzdont.com.org website, I wouldn't even blink. And I suspect Pappy might format a website name like that anyway.
