I doubt North had any involvement in the Ponzi scheme. I think he just found someone that he thought could bankroll his way back to popularity.

As far as BeBe being the COO and must have known something, I don't buy it. From everything I've read, Hernandez only let people know what he wanted them to know. Also, you can give someone any title you want, but if they are not listed on the company's official roster of Directors, then it doesn't matter. It's just a title.

I think North was blinded by his desire to get back to prominence that he would jump at any opportunity that presented itself. Hernandez came along with big talk and Mike jumped. He then went and recruited guys that he knew to be unemployed, towards the end of their contracts, on the backside of their careers or of the mistaken impression that they were under employed.

All of them were also fooled by Hernandez. None of them did any sort of check. They were each looking to better their station and it backfired. Had they done a little investigating, they may have stayed away. The young guys aren't really in any trouble. Their young enough to bounce back.

Chet and Hood are the ones who will have a hard time. Chet is on the backside of his career and this may have been his final stand. Hood has somehow managed to piss off people at both stations, so a move to a new city may be in his future.
