Miss a little; miss a lot. I'm off the board for not even 24 hours and I barely recognize anyone. Doug - your smileys are gone. Beef - no further comment necessary on that fiasco. Were they handing out new avatars yesterday for the needy and I missed it? Boy, am I out of the loop in more ways than one. I feel shame.

In related metal news, the new Helmet disc sucks. A lot. Do yourself a favor and listen to Strap It On,Meantime, or Betty instead of even contemplating buying this disc. Time to hang em up Page, you're going to ruin what had previously been a solid and influential career at this rate.

without question, i'd buy Volume 3, Subliminal Verses.
i think it's the best all around metal "album" since 'and justice for all.'
it was on pretty regular rotation from April 2004 till about 4 months ago...
i'd fall asleep to it, i listened so damn much.

after that I'd buy their first disc "slipknot"
then, the 9.0 live album
then, Iowa...

MNIM, a lot of bands still do videos. Unfortunately, MTV and the rest don't play them. I'd tell you more about it, but I have to go - they are replaying all the "I Love the '70s" shows on VH1, and I've been really stoked about seeing what happened in 1976..... :roll:

I'm bumping this up just for the fact that Mac may pass on some of the constructive criticisms of this event and make it better this year. I'm sure he already conveyed this since he and I had abou the same opinion on the day when it was over. Just lookin' out for our lucky 4. Had a great time with my friends last year, but if I had invited good dolphin, eg greg, and tall midget it would have been a hell of a lot more entertaining to sit back and watch.
