I honestly don't know how to post images in posts.
But I'm watching a rather uninspired version of NYD on YouTube from tonight's (lastnight in Dublin) U2 show.

I've been listening to Eminem Relapse.

It's better than I first thought it to be - there are about 4 or 5 songs on there that are not bad to good.

Thanks for the tip, Mr. Hernandez. Checking the album out on Youtubenow, may end up sampling some of this stuff... lots of crazy drum breaks.

Long players I've been into of late:

Moritz Von Oswald Trio, Vertical Ascent (live clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6vb3eWsemM)
Clark, Totems Flare (album sampler stream: http://warp.net/records/clark/new-album ... -july-2009)
Harlem, Free Drugs (clip of "Witch Greens" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KClYxxxY-_c)

you gotta usually give em's albums 3 or 4 listens before you can give a grade, i think. to let all those words sink in...takes time. and usually it's worth it. "relapse" is a pretty awesome album.

Strike Dinasour Jr from the list, and your taste is frighteningly similar to mine right now.

I'm going country. Immediately.

Yes, granted I haven't heard anything substantially by Dino Jr since like 1995 - when I realized that every guy at NIU that was trying to teach themselves guitar, was doing it by playing their songs. That's when I had to quit...... just can't bring myself to try again.

I don't understand the KOL hate that I'm starting to hear lately. Overplay/overexposure? I can understand that for sure. They're pretty good southern-fried type rock, and that's coming from a guy that doesn't usually like that sort of thing.

Dude...............

diff'rent strokes - but DINOSAUR jR is in my top 10 of all time.
Wouldn't want to be friends with J Mascis, but I sure as shit want to hear his music.

P.S. - I have made an effort to listen to KOL - just not digging it.

I'm with you Z, that's why I didn't give up on it in the first week and a couple of the songs are outstanding. I don't care much about Bagpipes - it's funny but meh. Hello is good, Same Song and Dance is good, We Made you is great, Medicine Ball is ok, Beautiful is probably my favorite on this CD or any and Crack a bottle got overplayed, but Dr. Dre's part and fitty cent's parts are pretty damn cool.

j. mascis and the fog's first album is awesome, too. follow up wasn't as good and then i gave up but "more light" is a great album.

you know who else i liked in the 90's for some reason...screaming trees. no idea why but i liked their sound. granted all i had was "sweet oblivion" but i still liked it.

who i didn't like though was candlebox. seriously. fucking bastards.

Finally got my 30Gb iPod out of mothballs.
Loading a bunch of stuff into it, but listening to "Long Time" by The Roots.
This song FUCKING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. W-Z, you have no idea why you liked Screaming Trees? 3 words - Mark Fucking Lanegan.
Check out "All I Know" and "Sworn And Broken" from "Dust" - both are truly great songs.
Candlebox truly sucked. I put that "You" song up there on my list of all time FAIL songs.
