So I'm sitting here playing poker online, and I've got the Cubs game on on Fox in the backround. I just heard Tim McCarver say that fundamentals are important in baseball. OK, HAHAHA, McCarverism.

But then he goes on to say "You don't hear people say 'fundamentals' in other sports. Basketball, football, hokey, tennis - they don't talk about fundamentals. Fundamentals are fundamentally important in baseball."

Good God! No other sports need fundamentals?!

And shame on Joe Buck for not saying anything about this.

Only half an inning in, and you can tell 'ol Timmy brought his A-game today. Here's his latest gem:

"Ya' know, ya just don't realize how big Jim Thome is."

Ahh....yea Tim I actually do.
