Why didn't this S.O.B. do this when he was here? Bottom 9th coming up now tied at 2-2...Thanks for nothing! :x

Unbelievable. I predict Dye, Thome and Konerko will all be swinging for the fences, thus making it an easy inning for the Yankees. OR Konerko hits into a double play! :D Prove me wrong, Bitches! OR A.J. strikes out swinging and Pods gets thrown out trying to steal 3B! :D Prove me wrong, Bitches! OR Yankee lefthander's job becomes easier because he faces two lefthanders in a row and one of their names is DeWayne Wice! :D Prove me wrong, Bitches!

They score and win in the 10th.

Bullpen still is unreliable no matter who pitches

Actually, Steve, Swisher wears #33 on the Yankees' trademark road gray uniform, but you're right on the money if the Yankees win this one in extras...

I thought Thornton was the one guy they could really count on these days. Really surprised Swisher got to him.

Jim Thome singles w/1 out and Scott Podsednik runs for Jimmy in the bottom 9th. Meanwhile, Bobby Jenks is sick and unavailable to close which may explain Thornton in the top half of this inning.

Konerko singles, runners at first and second w/1 out in the bottom 9th. Anthony John coming up with a pitching change...Phil Coke.

He blew the save, but Matt Thornton gets the win over Phil Hughes in the 3-2 White Sox triumph with 2 out in the bottom 9th. At least we don't have to hear Yankee radio voice John Sterling yelling "The YANKEES WIN! The YANKEES WIN!" on the national shows...

I guess the Sox knew what they were doing by keeping Wise. A big hit against a tough lefthander with two strikes, did he hit.

To quote Oswald (Act IV): “Oh, untimely death!” I must say, however, after watching what this young man did to preserve Mark Buehrle’s perfect game, I practically feel happy for him getting the big hit today.

After all, the Glorious New York Yankees are still twenty-two (22) games over the .500 mark (a/k/a “The White Sox Line”), and currently sit atop the finest division in Major League Baseball. I may, therefore, afford to be gracious in defeat without paying too high a cost.

It is a testament to the greatness and Glory of the Glorious New York Yankees that this base hit by Dewayne Wise will certainly end up being his greatest moment on earth.

Onward and upward!

Great clutch hitting by D Wise. I admit I was cringing when Ozzie didn't send a pinch hitter up to the plate. That was a big W for the Sox last night.

What a game by Floyd. He has recovered wonderfully from being suck for the first 1.5 months. ERA should be under 4 after his next start.

No worries. Thorton can blow a save just as well as Jenks can.

I was watching Sarah Kustok's postgame story of last night's thrilling White Sox 3-2 winner over the Yankees on CSN's "SportsNite" with the Joe Piscopo-looking Josh Mora at the anchor desk, and Sarah mentioned that Jenks should be good to go tonight in a save situation, kidney stones & all.

Carrasco can give you 5-6 innings. Certainly 4. Unfortunately that probably means a guy like Pena will get at least one inning.

If we don't get 5 or 6 runs off this pitcher and knock him out by the 5th I'm gonna start throwing stuff. He sucks. We should kill him. No excuses.

It's going to be a bullpen night for sure, given D.J. Carrasco's spot start & Sergio Mitre's wildness. I hope The SCORE's Jason Goff has some Snickers back in the SCORE studios downtown, not to mention WGN's Mark Suppelsa & meteorologist Tom Skilling...They're not going anywhere for a while, and both "The Nine O'Clock News", albeit later than normal on WGN's CW9 & WGN America, and Goff follow the White Sox/Yankees' game this eve.
