I don't blame Urlacher for his relationship with the media. When they splash that ho he had the baby with all over the front page whenever she opens her mouth I don't blame him. And the amount of personal attacks they make.

He had a fine relationship with them before they decided to act worse than the Enquirer.

The subhuman trash that passes for our Chicago sports media aren't even fit to make coffee at the Enquirer.

My pick is Mike Hartenstine or Noah Jackson.

Smith's protege: Danielle, Dan, Danny, Daniel (whatever) Manning.

Even if he doesn't start, he'll somehow screw up big time in the nickel, causing the Bear a loss.

But, he's decent on the kickoffs.

Even though he's been the face of the Chicago Bears for many, many years, I don't understand why Brian Urlacher has become so surly to fans & the media. I keep hearing stories about #54 being in really good shape, but what the hell has his problem been over the last 2 years or so?

'Roids make you surley. Like McGuire & Clemens.

Country, there's something fishy going on with Tommie...What's this about arthroscopic knee surgery and Tommie's unwillingness to practice with the rest of his teammates? Something stinks...

Well I'm done with him and here is the answer on why the drafted Jarron Gilbert. Looks like they are pretty much done with him too.

DING!DING! Cutler is a good long shot bet because if the team starts off badly he seems like the type to rip fans and/or teammates.

He's also done himself no favors by basically saying in the media that he made Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall good and he can do the same with these wide receivers.

Do you think that Kurt Warner believes that the WR's he throws to are only good because of his ability?
Do you think that Peyton Manning believes that the WR's he throws to are good only because of his ability?

Do you believe that Steve Young would say the same thing about his WR's?

It's tangential to my point though. He can believe that he made Marshall and Royal but if he is unable to turn Bennett and Hester into quality WR's then it falls on him instead of the obvious lack of quality of the WR's.

I was just lampooning the whole Moxie arguement Rick.

Steve Young though? Not Montana?

I have no doubt that Joe Montana believes that he not only made Jerry Rice, but that he also created the game of football.

That's really not a fair comparison. All of those guys had HoF receivers. It's safe to say Royal and Marshall won't be HoF receivers. What's wrong with being confident? We all know the Bears receivers aren't good. Those comments may give them a boost of confidence. It would be different if he acted like Griese and blamed everyone else every time something bad happened.

It is fair. When you use the term "all" then there can't be so many examples of QB's who were great who didn't believe that.

Even Philip Rivers would have to give Gates and Tomlinson(great catching RB) credit.

I'll admit that Cutler is right if he turns Hester into Brandon Marshall or whatever guy becomes the #2 WR becomes as good as Eddie Royal. However, if that doesn't happen then I think Cutler's own words give a reason to be critical if they don't.

I don't think he will, and I don't think he's good enough to make WR's into all pros.

I'll eat my crow if Hester makes the pro bowl as a WR.

On defense: Nate Vasher
On offense: Rashied Davis
On special teams: Robbie Gould on any FG 50+ yards
On the coaching staff: WR Coach Darryl Drake
During the preseason games: Whoever is in charge of producing these games, especially the prerecorded interviews that have audio that is non-functional.

Probably not Spaulding, but until he's cut - he's a Bears and I loathe the guy.

He didn't make too many mistakes last night - had he 'flipped up' that eventual interception like speedster Johnny Knox, Bears fans would be calling for his head.

Wolfe as a running back, but on special teams that tiny little guy is kind of a badass...
