I assume Reinsdorf's old firm represented Harry's dad in his real estate dealings way back when and we all have to invite business associates to weddings. However this is a relationship that clearly only exists so that Reinsdorf can manipulate the opinons of this dimwit in order to have some control over the media.

Who are Reinsdorf's two closest "friends" in sports talk? North and Harry. In many ways the two are the same person...and both think JR likes them.

Why is Reinsdorf in the Public Arena with two sports franchises if he is too thin skinned to be criticized?
Why is Harry begging Jurko to apologize to Reinsdorf just so Reinsdorf can go live on The Saloon and intimidate Carmen and Jurko so Harry can kiss his ass?

Reinsdorf's lack of participation has not lost the station a single listener nor detracted from its content. Anyone with a sack would tell him straight to his face, "not only do we not need you on the show, we do not want you, as you provide NOTHING."

4. Why aren't you loyal to your paying customers, the fans, instead of your misplaced loyalty to guys who have overstayed their usefulness, like Jerry Krause, or who are flat out incompetents like Ron Schueler, Terry Bevington, Jerry Manuel and Tim Floyd?
5. What does it do for your obviously fragile ego to have a guy like Hawk Harrelson try and dumb down your fanbase?
6. Why does it piss you off if a Coach like Scott Skiles has an agent?
7. Did you fire Jim Durham as Bulls announcer because he had an agent?
8. Why did you let absolute goofs run the Sox player development department for so many years?
9. What did it take to buy the loyalty of Mike North, 2 cigars and 2 trips to your suite at the Cell?
10. Aren't you thrilled with the return of Jay Mariotti for another bite of the apple?

I don't know if Reinsdorf lets too many people get close to him.
I am damned sure Harry is not as close to Reinsdorf as people are implying.
Harry is not an idiot...He isn't going to make an enemy of Jerry Reinsdorf...there is zero upside in it for Harry.
Jurko doesn't need Reinsdorf for anything at all.
I respect the hell out of John for standing his ground against the bully, and I don't fault Harry at all for protecting his own relationship with the guy.

Has Jurko become an interesting listen? All this back and forth on what he did and what he said makes me wonder. The last interesting thing I heard from him were his tales of life lessons learned from hanging out with Fast Eddie.

That question can only be answered by finding out whether Katten represented the elder Tienowitz on deals such as the sale of the land on which the former sears tower is built. If it did, Reinsdorf likes Harry a lot.
