This might be some major nit-picking (oxymoron?), but have they recently changed the background 'music' or whatever you want to call it when the update person is on? I seem to recall something different in the past...regardless I think whatever they currently use is incredibly obnoxious, especially the loud riff that comes in every 20 seconds or so.

the only word i can think of for that music is hokey. it's a feeble attempt to copy espn. they even give the out of town scores now. like i give a flying fuck who won the seattle/texas game.

I could care less about it, but the new "Scoreboard Update" music sounds kinda synthesized and futuristic for lack of better terms. I care more what Mark Grote, Kerry Sayers, Joe Bartosch, Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch, Matt Rodewald & Mike Esposito are telling Chicago sports fans like me what's going on. In plain English, I care more about substance than what music is playing in the background every 30 minutes...

The previous Score update music was clearly a copy cat of the old ESPN Radio SportsCenter background music that was used up until July 2004. The new music I like, but I agree that suddenly loud rift every 20 seconds or so is annoying.

I definitely like the Score's new voiceover guy better than the previous guy.

They started using it in early July, I think. I don't like that bed either. If my memory's right, they used the same one for those stupid "Best of the Best" segments. I remember that obnoxious riff somewhere. Probably those obnoxious promos.
