Heard Hub and Brad Biggs on this afternoon talking some baseball, and it was really bad. Hub was talking about Harden with Schuster and kept saying how he has a option for next season. No, he is a free agent. Hub, I know you want to act like you know all sports, but stick to football, even if your knowledge of that is limited also.

I had them on for about 15 minutes driving back and forth to pick up a pizza and I was considering starting a thread about how bad they were too, however I would have singled out Biggs. It was the conversation about Soriano's injury. Shuster was talking about how he's been injured all year and playing through it and for some reason Biggs made a comment that Soriano was a big sissy and needed to suck it up and play with it. Dipshit, he's been doing it all year and he's sucked since June. I thought Biggs was some meatball caller until Hub mentioned who he was.

Terry Boers makes a good point.....put the younger guys on.....these sportswriters for the most part are a crashing bore.

Hub, though not a sportswriter, has become part of the Chicago fabric, like it or not....and sometimes he brings some good insight.

It could've been worse...Hub could've done the show yesterday afternoon with "Stuttering" John Melendez, I mean Dan Hampton...Oh wait, they're holding court instead of Ozzie Guillen, Jr. tonight following the Bears/Broncos' preseason game...

Dan Hampton sounds like the skit that SNL used to do where the Woman starts a sentence then half way through her thought she completely shifts gears and starts talking about something else. He did this tonight a couple of times where he would start to verbalize a thought and not finish it before starting another. He did this 4 or 5 times in a row.
Is Hampton too lazy to work on and improve his delivery?
Shouldn't he at least be able to begin a sentence without always saying "And again"...?

It would also help if Hampton would learn "How to Talk Good" like the late NBC5 announcer Jim Hill used to do back in the day occasionally for Bob Sirott's "One More Thing..." feature when Sirott & Allison Rosati used to anchor "First Thing in the Morning"...
