definitely a memorable actor for those in their late 20s and up.

I read on the elevator at work that Dancing With the Stars will pay homage to him next week.

some touching excerpts from his memoir due out the 29th.

i'm such a sentimental sap...cos i wept. :|

Quote:
Discovering the Cancer:
"I had been having some digestive trouble, mostly acid reflux and a kind of bloated feeling, for a few weeks ... I've had a sensitive stomach my whole life, so I hadn't thought much of it, but lately I just couldn't shake the constant discomfort ... My doctor told me my chances of surviving for more than a few months weren't high and I had no reason to doubt him."

Disbelief ...
"I had been excited about the upswing my life was on ... Now it all seemed like a cruel joke. I couldn't be dying -- I had too much to live for!"

... And Acceptance:
"I began thinking to myself, I've had more lifetimes than any 10 people put together, and it's been an amazing ride. So this is okay."

No Painkillers:
"I continued with chemotherapy all the way through the shoot [for his TV show, 'The Beast']. But I never took any painkillers since they dull not only your pain but also your sharpness."

Thanking the Love of His Life:
"How grateful I am that you chose to love me. I know that because of you, I've found my spirit. I saw the man I wanted to be. You are my woman, my lover, my mate and my lady. I loved you forever, I love you now and I will love you forever more."

You swear this is the truth????

/also read W_Zs post and the dude did seem to have his head on his shoulders. Sad when anyone dies this way. Or I suppose any other way.

These interviews and clips from DD are getting it done for me. I feel like this guy in the suspenders.

I didn't know he struggled as much as he did. Seems like a alright guy, it's very sad.

Yeah. He was a pretty good actor. Did some good movies. These scenes always make me smile. The movie was corny but it's kind of nice to see them falling in love. Makes you think it's possible. She has great facial expressions and a great smile. And yes, like the song says, she has those hungry eyes. She has a seductive look and an innocence look. I fell in love with her when I first saw this movie. From the sounds of it, Spaulding pretented she was her. Nothing wrong with that.

Top Swayze Movies

1. The Outsiders
2. Red Dawn
3. Donnie Darko

but his best on screen moment had to be the Chippendale tryout routine with Farley on SNL

I got go with:

1. Point Break
2. Red Dawn
3. The Outsiders
4. Road House
5. Ghost

I just caught Youngblood on the tube last weekend and I forgot that he was in this movie as well. He was the one who took the cheapshot by that thug character that Rob Lowe eventually beats up at the end of th movie (only in the movies)
