"We're only going to score 17 points? hehehehehehehehehehe"

No. You're only going to score 14 points. Asshole.

Somewhere Bridget Moynihan is enjoying this even more than me. I wish we could celebrate together.

Way to go Irish Boy.

This one made me laugh.

I was thinking the same thing.

Watching Bill Belicheck was pretty funny.

Better get some better surveillance equipment.

I totally agree with this nomination. I guess Plaxico over-estimated that New England offense. Or better yet, he under-estimated his team's defense.

How many people posted here that the Pats would score just 17 points?
I was just as surpised as Brady that the team just scored two TDs.
Keep the hind-sighted garbage coming guys.

Everyone on here knows that Tom Brady is my "Brett Favre" on this board. I can't stand him, but respect the hell out of his play. As much as I'd like to kick Tom when he's down, I don't believe this award is just at all. I mean, come on, any QB (besides maybe Dilfer's Ravens) would be disappointed to here the other team is only going to give him 14 points on the board. This is a cheap nomination that isn't deserved.

No one is being hind-sighted. He's just poking fun at Brady for scoffing at Plaxico Burress's prediction that the Giants would lose 24-17. Brady laughed that they would score more than 17. They didn't.

That's not hindsight.

It was his little "yeah right, the unstoppable us limited to 17 points" demeanor. Have some respect for your competition.

I don't like "predictions" either, but I think sometimes with athletes, they get cornered.

Reporter: "Do you think you are going to win?"
Player: "Sure, that's what we came here to do"
Headline: PLAYER GUARANTEES VICTORY!

So Plaxico just throws some figure out- 17 not being a ludicrous figure- and Tom Brady gave this smart-assed laugh about it. The correct response would be "that's why you play the games" or some other cliche. That's why you are supposed to speak entirely in cliches.

They put up 38 on the Giants, in NY, during bad weather just a month ago. It was not unreasonable to think they should score some points.

Tom even said later in the soundbyte that he was expecting a 45-42 prediction -- something that actually showed their scoring trend for the season.
At the time it was laughable to say that the Pats would score only 17 points.

He should know better. In 2001 it was laughable to think that the Rams would only score 17 and lose the game. He must have a short memory span.

The guy is so full of himself. Making Suzy Kolber run down the field after him so she can ask one single question is a douchebag move.

Did you see how he was a total douchebag after the game and literally tried to run away from the post-game interview?

How hard is it to sit there and say two or three cookie cutter cliched responses?

"A win is a win"
"It's tough to win in the NFL"

Instead, he was sprinting off the field and she followed him and finally got him to answer one question.

I don't.

I thought Irish Boy was bumping his own thread. Only read his response.

Sorry NSJ. Next time I steal your material I'll be sure to put it in a different thread.

Hating Tom Brady and the Patriots is like hating on the Yankees.

Every single Bears fan would kill for Cutler and Lovie to be as successful as Brady and Belicheck. We'd put up with assholeish behavior to have 3 rings in 5 years.
